To be fair, Leeds played some decent football and were good to watch under Marsch but they just didn't have much quality to score many goals and we are the exact opposite - shit football but surprisingly score a decent amount of goals in spite of it - so it could work here.

I still think we will have Rafa as our main target as we were rumoured to be after him when we got Rodgers and if the worst was to happen, he does have previous experience of getting Newcastle out of the Championship.

Our owners tend to like a 'name' as a manager too so Rafa seems the most obvious option really.
I agree, he did well with what Leeds gave him to work with and did well at the clubs he was at before. Some of you mongies who want a 'proper ****' won't like his sunny disposition, but maybe that's what the modern group of cosmopolitan twentiesomethings actually need

Jesse Marsch has held talks with Leicester City over their managerial vacancy as the club plans for all eventualities as they fight for their Premier League survival.
The former Leeds United manager is one of the candidates under consideration if the club decide to bring in another manager after tomorrow’s game against Bournemouth.
Caretaker managers Adam Sadler and Mike Stowell are handling that key fixture but if they don’t get a positive outcome the club could move quickly to appoint a successor to Brendan Rodgers, who left Leicester by mutual consent last Sunday.
Leicester have spoken numerous candidates and while they hope Sadler and Stowell can get the results to see them through to the end of a difficult season so they can go after a permanent manager in the summer, they are also weighing up the possibility of an interim manager or a permanent appointment if they feel that is their best chance of staying up.
Rafa Benitez and Sam Allardyce are possibilities for the interim role if they are interested, but Marsch has indicated he might be interested in taking the job even if Leicester go down to the Championship and he would oversee the attempt to return to the top flight.
Marsch’s style, the 4-2-2-2 or 4-2-3-1 Gegenpress system forged at Red Bull Salzburg, is seen as suited to the players Leicester have at the moment and more easily adaptable for the squad, but Leicester are exploring all options as they try to secure their Premier League status.
Leicester sit second from bottom and two points from safety after picking up just one point from their last seven games.

Nine games left, tomorrows being absolutely critical

But yeah, let’s wait to see how Bert and Ernie get on first….

why beat yourself up over the situation, you can't do anything about it.
Just stay off the coffee for a bit longer

Well, I have been for a wander down BN's Street. The word on it is that Benitez has said no thanks and that Marsch is as good as a done deal.

I’m actually starting to come round to the idea of Marsch.
