They're going for the wrong American, I could maybe have some enthusiasm if it was Brian Schmetzer or Jim Curtin.

I'm not a big fan of his or his overly defensive brand of football per se but Rafa Benitez strikes me as the ideal candidate in the position we are in, he's done a very similar job for Newcastle fairly recently. Vastly experienced in the Premier League. He's a fking Champions League winner ffs.. and somehow Jesse Marsch is preferred.

Don't blame him really as when he was at Newcastle, at least they were financially sound under Ashley whereas we are in a complete state.

I guess Jesse Marsch is a step up from Rodgers in the sense that he was at least honest in his interviews about Leeds being shit/ not good enough etc rather than Bodger Rodgers and his self preserving, shift it all onto the players claptrap... still had **** all clue how to stop the rot though.

I’d take Mike Ashley over Top. Yes, on a personal level he’s a cretinous ****, but he’s a million times the businessman Top will never be. We’d be unlikely to see the top six but we wouldn’t be in the farcical state we’re in now.
