Latest taken from BBC - Interesting that he is compared to Hobbs !!!

Imps hope to agree N'Guessan fee

Lincoln chairman Steff Wright says he is hopeful that Dany N'Guessan's move to a new club will not have to go before a Football League tribunal.

The out-of-contract 21-year-old, who has turned down a new deal, has been linked with a host of clubs including Sheffield United, Leeds and Leicester.

The Frenchman scored nine goals for the Imps last season.

Wright told BBC Radio Lincolnshire: "It is far better if we can agree a figure with a club."

He continued: "Dany is a player of great potential who has developed a lot in the last year.

"As an attacking player you could value Dany higher than Jack Hobbs who recently moved to Leicester, there is no doubt that, at just 21, Dany is a very valuable player."

Last week Lincoln confirmed that N'Guessan had turned down the offer of a new contract at Sincil Bank, opening the way for the former Rangers man to leave the club.

As he is under the age of 24 the Imps are entitled to compensation for the player when he joins a new club.

OK!!! Now lets compare Bruce Forsyth and Jordan purely on the fact they have both appeared on tv!!! Stupid swines

What a ridiculous statement to make.

Tribunal fees seem generally to favour the buying club IMHO - so for him it would be better to agree a fee with the buying club.

I have been surprised by some of the low fees we've had to pay with previous tribunals so I'd agree that's the case and I can see why Wright would want to settle a fee beforehand. Comparing N'Guessan with Hobbs and saying that he should be worth more simply because he's an attacking player is pretty silly though.

The tribunal panel would take no notice of such a comparison. They work out the compensation by formula which takes account of such things as age, length of time at the club, whether player has made first-team appearances, length of contract with the new club, wage at the new club. They may include add-ons for future achievement.

If they are demnading a stupid price then I think we are doing nothing wrong by trying to get him for a fair deal. Hopefully it will all be sorted between the two clubs though as a tribunal would just be a pain! Do you think this means we have agreed terms with him but not with Lincoln?

I wonder if everyone is still wanking over 'Knowitall' on FT.
I reckon this "knowitall" character must have some decent inside info so I wouldn't be too quick to slag him/her off. Not every bit of gossip comes true, because not every transfer goes through as intended.

Please, let's not shoot the messenger - it's great that we've actually got a messenger at all.

It's out of Lincoln's hands and is really nothing to do with them now. If the player doesn't want to sign a new contract with them he can go wherever he likes, irrespective of what Lincoln think. All they can do now is whine about getting a fair fee, which is what they are doing.

I hope it does go to a tribunal - it shouldn't make a difference in terms of when the player arrives (he's contracted to Lincoln for a little while yet anyhow) but it gives us a better chance of getting him on the cheap. If we get him, that is...

Ok thanks.

And if it does go to a tribunal it could take a few months before we know what the fee is. Nicky Adams signed for us on July 1st and the tribunal didn't take place until the middle of September.

A tribunal is far easier than trying to sort things out with the club the bloke is leaving. For the nth time - we do not have to agree anything at all with Lincoln City.

Im not shooting the messenger, just all the stupid ****ers who take every word as gospel.

''Knowitall' has spoken again just for Lako.

I post on this forum only and only things I have heard or seen with my own eyes.

I listen into things I have no right to have done. I did this with both these players.

I was then lucky enough to talk to both players.

I talked to N'Guessan for about five minutes. We laughed and joked and in this time he made it clear signing for Leicester was his number one choice. Coupled with the fact he was at Leicester at the request of Leicester. He said other things that gave he no doubt that a deal was very nearly done.

Simon Cox I only talked with for about a minute. He seemed very happy with Leicester. He also said Leicester was a big step up and Leicester where a very big club.

I can not tell you what was said in full as this may point to me.

Also sometimes players tell you what they think you want to hear. I can not blame them as clubs say anything to get players to sign.

Prime example of this was Patrick Kisnorbo whom would wind me up at every given chance. He even once got his mate to ring me up and pretend to be Martin O'neil. Saying Aston Villa are going to sign Patrick. It may have worked if his mate had no got a ozzie accent.

I only post on here to give infomation to Leicester fans. I never lie or give misleading info. Yes I do have to guess sometimes but It is always an educated guess.
