Iiiiiiiit's rant time
After his initial investment, rumoured to be 25 mill, it seems to me that MM is running Leicester with Leicester's money.
That was obvious from the moment he appeared on the scene. He's a businessman, not Santa
If this is the case, don't expect to see any Victor Moses, Martin Taylor etc here any day soon.
Er, did anyone
really expect that? When was the last time we were competing for a player that will cost several million? Ten years ago? Be realistic Biff.
Has Gally been used in his correct position?
Don't think so Lako, but I'm sure you'd agree that only a complete idiot would fail to see he's a very talented individual. He's been out of position and so far largely ineffective, but still, it's very harsh to judge him at this stage IMO. It might not work out for him, or us, long term, but the problem isn't his ability, it's finding a place in the team for him. Maybe he just doesn't have a natural position and will never really make it. But to say he's shit, as many people have, is patently untrue - he's a technically gifted player (like Gareth Williams was! :icon_conf)
I must say I think this is true, but I don't think NP has identified a target (Taylor-aside) that he wants in, which is bemusing to me personally.
All due respect Al, how would you know this? He's a professional football manager. As fans we know about lots of players that would improve our squad, so I'm sure that as a professional football manager NP does as well, indeed more so. The trick is clearly identifying players who would improve the squad, want to come to us and, crucially, cost feck all. Suddenly that list has got a lot shorter...
Good, if that is the sustainable way of running things then that Is how it should be done.
I believe we have been down the road of stretching the club to it's very limits in the past, that certainly worked.
Most sensible post on this forum in weeks. I'd rather we didn't spend any money this January and still have a club left at the end of the season. People have very short memories - we're still suffering now for what happened a decade ago.
A few? They've all been no better (and mostly worse) than what we already have.
Really? Even from 5000 miles away, that comment looks like bollocks to me, Fitz. Weale vs Logan? Wellens vs any of our other supposed central midfielders? Not better, but in fact
worse? Nah, I'm not buying that at all. It seems like negativity purely for the sake of it. Boooooooo! :icon_wink
:icon_roll Honestly, this thread has some of the most hysterical knee-jerky shit that it'd actually be quite funny if it wasn't so depressing to read how deluded some people are. Fickle boneheads, as someone once said...
Anyway, what used to happen in January? I can't remember now. Did the world come to an end if we didn't sign four "quality" players? It must have done... please remind me...
OK, rant over
