I was out at IKEA for most of the game sadly but caught what I could on the radio.

From the brief bits I've heard, it sums us up at the moment:
  • Defensive errors and clumsiness could've cost us
  • Not enough creativity in attack

Fair summary?

Neither of these things surprise me at all as they sum up what we already know about our squad - we're missing our first choice defenders and need a leader in that back line, and we don't have enough creativity in attack.
Soyuncu gave the ball away playing across goal and then gave a penalty away when he didn't have to go to ground although it did seem soft and took ages for VAR to give it so hardly clear and obvious.

Big Dan was pretty solid though and had a decent game.

Thomas also had a decent game but did get turned easily quite a few times.

The rest were average at best and Barnes probably worst of the bunch. Albrighton did get the winner but it was a big deflection on it and did nothing for the rest of the game.

Ricardo was his old bright self but he went off after 15 mins and Castagne was no where near as good.

Vardy took his goal well and did lay the ball off for Albrighton for the winner but was largely isolated for the rest and wasted a couple of opportunities on the break.

Nothing really to get excited about after that although BR has confrimed he wants to bring in at least one attacking player before the window closes.

Cheers for the summary. Sounds like I was about right in my assumptions then

However bad you assume Barnes was, double it.

Ah. That's disappointing to hear. I'm hoping it's just a match fitness issue, since I expected a lot of Barnes this season.

I suspect he will also improve with Bertrand behind him.

Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers spoke to BBC MOTD: "It is always important [to win today], the squad have shown over the last few years that they do not go on too many runs of losses.

"We didn't play well, we had to be able to come here and Carrow Road at a three o'clock kick off when the sun is shining is always a difficult ground to come to.

"We showed great resilience especially towards the end. After going in front, the players had to dig in. Throughout the game we had moments of quality and the two moments of real quality we scored.

"The first goal was great, we pressed the ball well and then broke through and Jamie does what he does.

"Mark's goal typifies the professional he is, I felt coming into this game we was going to need someone who was going it come in and press and run and have that bit of quality. He was back to defending and then he gets up there and finishes it really well.

"The two moments we need to look at ourselves first, we created a situation ourselves that we didn't need to. The one at the end they are committing bodies into the box and you have got the player woo is offside. I looked at the linesman right away and the flag went up.

"I am delighted, to have six points out of nine in the first three games and I know over the course of the season with more work patience and more time we will play better and we will have to because we are no where near the standards of our football. We are doing it in moments."

In the car and had 5 live on. Chris Sutton says (not verbatim but this was the gist), ‘if it was a big team they wouldn’t have got the decision for that second goal, but because Leicester are a smaller team we were allowed it’.
Then that irrelevant twat Savage agreed.

Nice to hear some honest words. Not usual everything is great crap

Yep, Brendan was obviously not happy with the performance. Good to hear that and hopefully a kick up the arse for some of the players.

Fair summary. Too many of our top players out of form. Tielemans, Maddison and Ndidi all. Soyuncu has picked a right time to go through a spell of bad form as all his fellow defenders are dropping like flies around him.

I think KDH needs to get the nod over Maddison at the minute, just to see a bit of desire out there because I agree with the earlier sentiment that Maddison in particular looks like he can barely be bothered.

Given the performances haven't been great and our ongoing crisis at the back 6 from 9 is bordering on miraculous. Just like the Wolves game though, even though we were shit, I think we just about deserved the win which is a strange place to be...

What the **** is going on here?
Well, I was writing a post while trying to get my daughter to sleep. Which was going well until she started crying. (she's 20months) At which point I had to stop being a shit dad and concentrate on my family. But it meant my original post went a bit wrong. I then tried to save face by a small attempt at humour.

Quite frankly my performance on this forum tonight is as bad as ours today.
