Sitting in the main stand (what a joke stand that is) as a guest of a forest fan, thought the tide had turned.
City played some lovely crisp football, closing down, nice link up play all over the park.
2 - 0 up, the 3rd was needed to kill them off completely.
Derbyshire looks like he'd get bullied off the ball in an U10's game.

Changing their front 2 made some difference. Miller is a handful. However, we still made chances for the 3rd.
Then came the incidents. Yes it was handball, but no way was it ball to hand, or even stopping a goal. Very harsh decision, and would he have given it down the other end?
I can't see how throwing the ball to the half way line is wasting time, but I will say from where I was sat, Kasper did appear very petulant in the way he went after the ball.
As said elsewhere, calm down Kasper.

When I saw Weale coming on the pitch, I looked at the clock, and thought oh shit!
Pantsil should've closed the wideman down quicker, but that doesn't take anything away from the fact that Weale totally misjudged the flight of the ball.
He had a clear view, no one impeded him, just cocked up, again!
Another couple of minutes and all that good work could've been totally undone.

For the cup game, I'd give the young 'un a go, becasue Weale doesnot instill any confidence in the players or the fans.

Arguably Majewski was the substitution that kicked them up a gear. As the second half started and they changed their two front men I thought it was odd, as their problem wasn't not taking the chances, it was not creating any which the midfield has to take some responsibility for. Majewski was that link between their forwards and the midfield and they started to look more dangerous when he came on. We still coped very well though until the referee ****ed up, and then Weale.

A message to David Nugent.
Wait until the ball goes out of play before having a go at the thrower.

In the second half we had a throw, as the ball was played to the other side of the area DN turned to have a go at the thrower. The ball came back, & hit him in the back.
If you remember his goal that he scored for Pompey against us at the Walkers, he was in about the same position, relatively unmarked.

Message to Sven, when we are 2 up, Gallagher is not the player you need to bring on. (Mind you, you probably know that now!).

Message to Danns, when are you going to be able to last 90 minutes?

Absolutely, bringing him on served no purpose whatsoever.

Danns might not last 90 but that's because he works his ****ing arse off, runs constantly and to be honest really looks a threat, I would rather have 75-80 out of him than 90 minutes of Gally acting like a ****ing panzy.

Really can't understand the negativity towards Gallagher, didn't think he did much wrong yesterday, didn't Shie but certainly not bad enough to get the vitriol he is

You are correct, It's Sven that deserves the vitriol for bringing him on in those circumstances.

With each match Danns certainly appears to be improving. Some of his runs yesterday was just what Sven was talking about when he spoke about the type of players he was after.
Mention for Gelson as well, some of the link up with Pantsil was fantastic.

The future is looking a lot brighter!

Why? I don't see what bearing it had on the game, especially if Nugent was injured as speculated

Because we were protecting the lead, why bring him on, what aspect of his game lends itself to protecting a lead? He was lazy and didn't even close the defence down well enough to say we were defending from the front. He should have got Abe on Nugent and flooded the midfield IMO.

So you'd sit back and invite them on, instead of keep pressing? Unreal.

Tell me how Gally kept pressure? other than making the blood variant climb. We went down to 9 men with that substitution.

Gally can be good at times, but yesterday was not one of them. He was incapable of holding on to the ball leading to a hell of a lot of Forest possession which as we saw lead to our downfall. Also he must be one of the few professional footballers who are unable to make a decent challenge for a ball in the air.

Agreed, Gally certainly did create pressure yesterday, it was all on us unfortunately.

I am not sure I agree. In the early 1970s Leicester had a fine young reserve goalkeeper called Carl Jayes. He did not get a game for a long time because the great (literally great) Peter Shilton was in goal . When Shilton was injured Jayes made his debut in the 1st team and seemed to panic letting in two goals he should have saved. Jimmy Bloomfield immediately went out and bought Mark Wallington another young goalkeeper who had played a few first team games for Walsall. Wallington seemed to have no problem with nerves and went on to play hundreds of games for Leicester.Let Adam Smith go on loan and play under first team pressure in a lower league the way Jeff Schlupp did at Brentford. If we lose to Bury that is a pity but not a disaster. It may well be that Kasper will be an ever present for the rest of the season. There is no need to panic or to bring on the young man too quickly.

As for Kasper I would guess he does not need blasting from Sven as I am sure he will have learned from the incident. On the other hand I would guess there will be some strong Danish phrases coming from his father. This brings me to a matter of the utmost insignificance. I would guess Peter Schmeichel is a Man U supporter but did his mum switch support from Man City to Leeds to Leicester.

I didn't say he did keep pressure did I? The intention from Sven was to replace a striker with a striker which was a much better idea than to replace one with a midfielder and sit back and let them come at us. Did Gallagher excel in this role? No, but he certainly wasn't at shit as some are making out. I am not surprised that you need to find a big negative to take away from the game though.

I did not need to look very hard to be fair. And bringing a midfielder on means absolutely sod all about sitting back, we didn't need to drop any deeper but we needed to make sure we kept possesion and had a better chance of getting it back, Gally was never going o provide that function or any other worthwhile function, you know that, I know that and Sven obviously didn't know that.

Overall I thought we were excellent, really hassled well and gave them no time on the ball, Danns looked dangerous and the fans were half decent for once.
