Good appointment for them.

Damn, I wanted Davies as our next manager...

As for O'Neill to Boro, it does make you think 'if you wanted to be at a middling Prem side why did you leave us in the first place?' but I shall try not to be bitter...

if it happens Boro have done better out of the whole thing then England has-i would happily lose McClaren to get O'Neil!

I hate Middlesborough, dull place, dull team, dull fans..everything about them is dull, dull, dull. Why did they build that fecking big Stadium only to half fill it for every match?

Completely agree. I could stomach him being at Celtic or another massive club, or England. But 'Boro are in almost exactly the same position we were in when we left.

Perhaps the difference being we had to sell Heskey but they can keep on to Downing at the moment?

It would not surprise me to see Davies resign from his position of manager at PNE within the next 24 to 48 hours, there seems to be an uncomfortable rift growing between him and the chairman.

Would be an excellent appointment for the sheep.

Most Dryeb fans have more money than sense. i.e. £2.50 in their back pocket will qualify for that statistic

As far as I understand the new consortium have actually put very little money into the club. Some of the £52m debts were paid off on the sort of percentage deal that would be done if the club was in administration and most of the rest rescheduled for repayment in several years time "when they are in the premiership". There are still substantially higher current debts than Leicester have (estimates seem to vary from £8-12m). It seems unlikely that the new manager will have much of a budget to work on.

Apparently it is D-day for the O'neill decision. He will decide whether or not to go to Borough today. I must say I am a little gutted. They aren't any more exciting than us.

But I suppose we have Rob who has done a wonderful job for us. I think it is reality time, and I am still looking forward to next season with Kelly in charge.
