We all gonna die!

When i do a clean up and water change i change around 50% of the water. Ive never lost any fish yet doing this so why is it a bad thing to change that much water at once?

Niped down to Deep Blue yesterday Leroy. Pretty handy! Had no idea that was there.

I cant see how it keeps going, must do a lot of internet business. strange place for that kind of shop. Its mainly marine stuff though isnt it?

Theres a lot of Marine stuff there yes, plenty of tropical too though. It's a decent place just not really very well placed.

When I was in England the other week, I saw a big marine shop on a major road in the middle of nowhere and immediately thought of Melts ( sick isn't it?). Can't really remember where it was, could have been around Leicester but have a feeling it was on the road to Newarke or Lincoln as we headed off for a day to the east coast.

I think anyone of us would have thought the exact same FIF:102:

I think there is a big one just off the A46. melts will tell you the name no doubt.

Been a pond expert long Duzza :icon_roll:icon_lol:

Well I'm not being funny but you only have to google 'aqaurium' or 'pond' and the first piece of advice is to be very cautious adding fish and never generally more than one at a time as it takes 4 weeks for the bacteria to adjust.

You are correct...... you are not being funny :icon_lol: I will take this advice on board when purchasing more fish. As the bastards that died cost me £60 :icon_roll

The price of Fish burial has gone up. I'd consider cremation in the future.

You are adding a lot of chlorine which will damage/upset your fish and filter, you are subjecting the fish to large temperature fluctuations, large pH, GH and KH fluctuations and you are removing a lot of free swimming beneficial bacteria.

All of which are stressers.

Can't you just add some Activia to get the bateria back up? You'd have some unblocked fish for sure :icon_wink
