According to the contract thingy I have a calendar month to change me mind. which is different from what the bloke said to me tonight when I rang up to cancel, so I'll be ringing up again tomorrow and hopefully will get someone who isn't a knob.

Alliance and Leicester / Santander (again!)

I've been trying to get on their online banking system all weekend, but it's been down for maintenance.

Finally it allows me in tonight, and tells me my account has been transferred to the Santander system, but I everything works the same.


So then I tried to renew my car tax online, but the payment was refused, even though the online banking thing clearly says my available balance is more than enough. Mrs Jeff paid it for me (same bank), and her payment went through :icon_conf

Then I tried to pay the monthly payment for the server this site runs on, and that was refused too.

Then I paid £1.42 for something, and that went through OK. But my available balance hasn't gone down on the online banking thing - usually it changes as soon as a payment is made.


So it looks like their system is ****ed.
