I did it with my memory stick last year. Download them onto my PC. Stuck files onto the memory stick from my cpu and then put the memory stick in PS3. Transferred the files from memory stick to PS3 harddrive.

Everything i've read on the net so far has led me to believe that PES simply hasn't moved on (if anything, moved backwards) and FIFA has made enough progress to warrant consideration.
