Unbelieveable, the similarities between Charlton and ourselves at the time of Twatlor's appointment is uncanny, except for the fact we had european football to look forward to. Will be interesting to see how Taylor would approach this job, and whether he had learnt any lessons from his time with us.

Cannot believe that Charlton are making approach for Taylor who has already had a spectacular failure at premiership level. Surely Billy Davies, Ian Dowie and Aidy Boothroyd would have been more adventurous appointments.

Its a strange world is football - Peter Taylor was the worst manager we have had - tho CL not much better - but we have to acknowledge that other people have continued to have confidence in him.

I sometimes wonder if he made all his major mistakes here and other clubs will benefit from his experience....and his function as a half-decent coach.
