I think anyone who is going on the 9.15 or 10.15 from Leicester can expect some sort of 'meet & greet' service by Peterborough's finest.

I shall be arriving at 8.44am, to hopefully avoid all that sort of shite.

What time are you leaving at ?

My train from Nottingham departs at 7.45am - Sounds crazy I know, but I prefer to give myself a chance of being able to do what I want in Peterborough as opposed to being held for ages at the station then walked to the ground.

Yeah, i might get an earlier train aswell. I can see what you are saying ive been in Police escorts before and they are pathetic, getting hurded around like cattle and then get taken to the ground and that. Plus i have got a feeling the Peterborough police will go well over the top on this one.

There are 2 Wetherspoon pubs near the station the Draper's Arms and the College Arms both normally open at 9.00am on Saturdays

I bet ya someone tries to start a bonfire. :icon_bigg

It was always an option if we had too many players out, well it was according to my dads pyscho mate.

Pretty sure it was but I always get mixed up between the game where we had half of the stadium and that bonfire/striker game. Or is it the same game?

My Uncle's mini-bus with about 10 of them broke down on the A47. They left it there for four hours alone on the hard shoulder and got taxis to and from the minibus.

Read in Peterborough Evening Telegraph, that when Leeds visited they were put in the Drapers Arms, Cherry Tree and Swiss Cottage pubs by old bill. I would guess saturday will be the same. Drapers Arms for 9.15 then! Hope breakfast is good!

For those travelling by train, Cross Country have put on an extra service in each direction.

There will now also be a service leaving Leicester at 09.45, arriving at 11.00, and a service returning at 14.35 arriving back to Leicester at 15.40

Edit - The normal hourly services remain unaffected.

What at 8:45am! We want something selling a Full English first.

I am sure that Nottingham's pub is a Wetherspoons and will therefore be open at that time and serving two sizes of Full English.

I might have known!

I understand that when faced with the choice between Traditional Breakfast (fried egg, bacon, sausage, baked beans, hash browns, a large flat mushroom and half a grilled tomato) and Farmhouse Breakfast (two fried eggs, two rashers of bacon, two sausages, baked beans, three hash browns, a large flat mushroom and half a grilled tomato, served with two slices of toast), he normally orders both.
