I thought straight away he knew exactly what he was doing. Fair enough it may not have been a full on elbow but it looked as if he knew exactly what he was doing and was pissed off after getting roughed up a bit - left his arm outstretched fully and almost swung it 360.

What are people thinking about the Andy Carroll situation? An independent tribunal has upheld the original decision by the FA and he will subsequently be banned for 3 games. I've watched the incident over and over again, and I can't see any intent, any contact with Flores's face (his arm merely brushed the top of his head) and as a football supporter I am stunned by this decision. Are the FA trying to protect Howard Webb in some way as he's supposedly the best referee / most high profile we have in the UK ?
I didn't think it was red but I am concerned that as soon as legal action was threatened the fa said they would review it again. I assume they think they might have been wrong. It sets a precident that others will take advantage of.

Having seen it several times, if Andy Carrol hadn't turned to look where he was swinging his arm, he may have got away with it.

The fact that he only made partial contact was his only piece of luck.
If he'd contacted fully, Flores would have needed brain surgery how he was so hurt from minimal contact!

Whilst I don't think AC should have his red rescinded, I think CF should have some form of retro punishment for the blatant play acting.
He got hit in the hair bobble for fecks sake, not actually life threatening, is it?

Depends on how sensitive your hair bobbles are. And bearing in mind he's a footballer you'd expect him to have very sensitive hair bobbles indeed. He was lucky to survive.

Carol hits your hair bobble, not quite the heights of Norman Hunter is it?

Moyes keeping up the good work Fulham 1 up

talking on the radio today about Man U, apparently they made over 600 completed passes in the Fulham match, but only 6 were between RVP & Rooney and 2 of those were from kick offs

Man City v Sunderland has been called off as it is windy.

Everton game off now as well as Man City's game. Stoke's game held back for 15 minutes.
Also although the Fulham v Liverpool game goes ahead it's unlikely the Scousers will get home as trains to the North West are being cancelled.

You really should let Virgin Trains know about this because they appear to know nothing about it. In any case with the last Liverpool train leaving Euston at 21:07, I hardly think it's likely that many Liverpool fans will relying on the train to get them home tonight.
