While I would not use that word I do agree about Dickov. I did not see the Preston game. However, when he came on for a short time against Barnsley he almost got a needless booking. I can forgive a player not being very good but a senior pro should not behave stupidly. The disappointing thing is that I have fond memories of his performances alongside Brian Deane. He is a shadow of the player he was and perhaps that is frustrating him. It is very sad.

He could've had a needless booking last night as well, ref gave him a talknig to shortly before the end of the game.

I agree he does not make the goal chances he used to. His last good match I remember was against Leeds when he stood in front of the goalie at a corner to stop him coming out to the cross. Howard was able to power home a header with the goalie stranded on his line.

Pearson keeps bringing him on as a late sub so he must think he can still do some sort of a job, particularly if he is bringing him on instead of someone like Gradel. He will still chase every lost cause for the 10 or 15 minutes he is on though, including hassling the goalie with any pass backs.
