Not to me or the other poster

Only to you in your sad little world. Hardly a surprise, really, flower

But you deemed the Soton fan(s) to know opinion to be more worthwhile than someone who lives there.

You live about 200 miles away and everyone knows that Soton fans don't exist outside of Hampshire.

Also seems extremely coincidental that one of the chief Puel Outers just so happens know Soton fans that also hate him and reckons they still wouldn't have him back even though theyve been total shite since he left.

Pipe down Mr I have 104 Soton friend fans.

You're certainly not Bravo Two Zero by Andy McNab.

It was the right appointment at the right time. I'd not have MON back either and I think that was a decent appointment.

'That's not the discussion though is it?'

And when did King Power ever employ him?

I am, watching the football.

I'll be careful not to trip over your lies when I get up at half time though.

Haha very good Donald.

Another resoundingly well thought out post there.

Definitely Puel out now. :icon rolleyes:

To be fair, Homer didn't claim to know more Saints fans than me, he posted first and I simply responded by saying the Saints fans I know hold a different view. Hope that clears this up :)

That doesn’t fit the narrative, I’m afraid

Thanks anyway - mainly for just being normal.

Makes a nice change

Puel is the last of the empire builders, he is trying to bring along the youth and develop a new playing culture which he hopes will pay off in a couple of seasons time. As much as I admire the idea, this doesn't work in modern football, especially the Premier League. (The last successful empire builder was Wenger, and that didn't even work for him in recent years)

Good players don't stick around for projects, opponents make giant leaps by spending big, too much money is being missed while your waiting and fans and chairman aren't usually that patient anymore.

The modern manager can rarely look beyond the current season. He either needs enough money to transform a squad instantly, or he has to adopt a system to maximize the players he has now.

There is a lot about today's game I don't like, modern football makes it harder for younger players, particularly in this country to break through. Millions of pounds are squandered on average or poor players instead as clubs gamble on instant success, this all encourages the behaviour of agents etc...etc...

I admire Puel's philosophy, it's a romantic idea, but football has changed, and if you can't beat them, you have to join them.

Some are saying that the KP management recruitment has been pretty poor.
By what yardstick?
I'd say apart from a couple of successful periods, City's management recruitment since the 60's has been pretty poor.
For those wanting to be entertained, go back to the 70's. We were the most entertaining team, but won sod all. (1 FA cup semi final appearance!)

Which PL managers have come in and had instant success this year?

The top 3 have all built year on year and even Man City had to wait a year with Pep even with the blank chequebook he had.

Balls to modern football and we don't want to be Chelsea, albeit a lot less successful.
