Having been part of this forum for over 4 years I shouldn't still be in denial any longer about the number of cynics amongst us!

I appreciate that LCFC is now primarily a business, albeit an apparently much better run now by a genuinely astute and football loving business man. I therefore accept that there will be an overall strategy that will be to improve revenue streams, the most critical of which is to assemble a football team and management team that can win promotion within 1 or 2 seasons.

To win promotion MM and MA do not need 30 000 coming through the turnstiles. To win promotion MA does not need to do a 'blog' and tell us funny stories. To win promotion MM did not need to stage tonight's unique event, that unfortunately I was unable to attend.

If we lose the first ten games, I will be suicidal/homicidal like everyone else. No amount of 'fun and fluff' can prevent that. For the fact that they ARE doing all these things as well to keep their fans/customers informed/amused/involved whilst trying to get promoted I am hugely grateful, because most clubs do not give a toss about their fans.

So well done MM and MA for making my season enjoyable so far. If you make it doubly enjoyable by winning most of the games that will be brilliant!

I was there, didn't feel I learnt anything new at all.

No declared targets, no details of which areas we are trying to strengthen the squad (MM gave more details in the press previously)

With pre-filtered questions obviously nothing controversial (like Mackay lasting 6 weeks)

Aim of evening

"Blue Eye Specs viewpoints" - chance for chairman, manager, players & fans to bond

"Cynical viewpoint" - lip service to answering fans questions, those received can't really all have been that soft

the only real bit i like was the fact that MA siad it was up to the players to get the fan's singing and not the fans to be the 12 th man ,he said if you do what you are meant to do on the football pitch the fans will sing its not them that have to get the players going it should and will be the other way around

Not for much longer, it was quite a come down from Rutland

A while ago i had a letter through the door from the police investigation body. I was loading my car up for hols and saw two coppers face plant this pissed up old thug into the pavement, he came off pretty badly. Of course i kept stum.

Then the other week i popped into Jacksons for some milk, the woman behind the counter said "ere you know thats that organic stuff, right?".

There is also a local couple who think nothing of battering each other in the street, much to mine and the missus delight, its a regular occurance on Halifax Drive.

Ahh the tales of Marwood Road....make a good programme on Channel 4 that would. Recently went to the Youth Centre - you have to ask for the pool cues and balls which are locked in a cupboard. If you are deemed too high-risk, you're not allowed to play.

In fact, I have gotta go up Halifax Drive later.

Did you really expect to be told things you didnt already know? Did you really think MM and MA were going to shower you with more bits of exciting information? When ever did you come away from a Q&A event being more informed than when you went in?
This was just an open evening to make the fans feel more a part of the club and its runnings, to ensure you part with more of your cash in the future without a struggle.
