I would like to apologise to police officers everywhere.

I have failed to hold them all in high esteem to which they would wish to be held - but I would ask them to remember that I am very important, far more so than them, had had a very tiring day and do not like being put out by someone who should be very servile in their approach.

I realise that some words were attributed to me which I did not utter, I said something else entirely (which, anyway, was aimed at the inanimate gate and not them at all). I can see how this confusion has occurred and would like to apologise a second time that they have not had the sense to see I wasn't even talking to them.

It should be clear to everyone that we should draw a line underneath this so that I can get back on with the important business of eating swan and influencing police pay & conditions.

So, just to be clear, I would never call the police plebs as the correct insult would have been 'a bunch of ****s' and I never said that.
