It has to be said that although the insanity of the Vietnam War was an entirely American invention, the peace talks that Kissinger had with Le Duc Tho did end the Vietnam War. :icon_wink

I'd think it is a way for the comittee to put some pressure on Obama regarding Afghanistan. It wouldn't look very good if a Nobel Peace Prize winner continued the war.
