Absolutely love Tiger, drink far to much of the stuff down the Cricket club. You can get a cracking pint of Tiger In Barrow Upon Soar, cannot remember the name of the pub.

A pint of Tiger at the Riverside in Mountsorrel is heavenly.

I'm enjoying everything from Adnams at the moment - Spindrift and Broadside particularly although I've heard good reports about Ghostship.
Not very accessible in Leicester although you get the bottles from Sainsburys and Waitrose. I think M&S do some 'Southwold ale' which is clearly from Adnams.

Yeah but I think we've established that Tiger isn't real ale at all, it's chemical catpiss, so if there's any more talk of it in this thread, I'll be holding you personally responsible and will be forced to give Lako an infraction.

It's actually brewed using very good quality Hops and Malt, It has also won quite a few awards including 'Best international keg ale'

It also tastes delicious which is actually the only thing that matters.

Do you work for everards by any chance? I love real ales (even tried to read for a degree in brewing but it was massively over subscribed so I read chemistry) but everards have never struck me as a real ale brewer, they make mass produced beers which have a place in the market but hardly at the top table.

Lako's valid point though is that if you like the taste it doesn't matter whether it's mass produced or not.

pride of England, can't remember who brewed it (daleside is ringing a bell) and only ever seen it in one pub but it was beautiful. A lot lighter in colour to the typical real ale.

I didn't say it did. The message seemed to be that people can't like Tiger because it is mass produced.

I think the message is it shouldn't be in a real ale thread as it isn't really, Everards do have stands at lots of Camra festivals but us sniffy real ale snobs wouldn't touch the stuff when there are propper ales like old bagdgers snout available on tap

I like that feature Boc surprised no one has used it to take the piss before

Here am I trying to be helpful and you insinuate that I was taking the piss. I won't bother next time!

black sheep, doom bar, tribute and it's quaffing sister, trelawny, fuller's london pride, jennings, ruddles, adnams. mmmmmm

Everything I have read suggests that the Everards Brews are considered 'Real Ales'
