The story is said managerial vacancy becomes available, Grayson who has done very well at Blackpool realises he has taken the club as far as he can and now is the time to move on whilst his stock his high, look at Steve Tilson very highly rated but regardless of circumstances Southend's relegation has tarnished his reputation.

So Larry approaches the club with his plans, Mandaric is informed, in the meantime already aware that Grayson would walk to Filbo Way for the job, the Mad One draws up his remaining shortlist of currently unemployed and the other fancied employed managers. Mandy obviously favours Dowie and / or Jewell and immediately installs them as his main targets whilst also contacting the other out of work candidates, following interviews both Dowie and Jewell pull out of the reckoning......

....Mandy, having already interviewed a number of the unemployed managers whose agents feverishly "plant" stories in the media to bring their clients names back from the footballing wilderness into the heads of the countless chairman searching for their next manager, after failing to be suitably impressed by the footballing journeymen he moves onto his list of employed managers and hey presto he his given permission to talk to Simon Grayson on the proviso that the talks remain confidential and that Grayson remains in charge until after tonights game ......

The reason I would be surprised if an out of work manager was appointed is purely because of the timescales, it is obvious the stand out candidate was Paul Jewell but now that it appears he has declined the opportunity then surely it is more likely that a currently employed manager will be appointed.

They lost and he was pissed off. Nothing more and nothing less.

Monkey heeed will be given a chance to f*ck this club up further than it already is.


If it does happen it makes you wonder how Milan actually made his money.
 
I'm not sure about Grayson either. Probably better than the other available options though.
