Personally, I don't give two monkey's fcuks about the Tigers (or any other rugby teamn for that matter). If they will have a ground with a reduced capacity for this game, well that's just tough. Live with it, it's a sacrifice you have to make when you're redeveloping

What I do care about is Leicester City, so I want to be able to go and watch them at 3 pm on Saturday afternoons. I can accept fixture changes for Sky (just about) I can also accept them for cup rounds, weather and safety factors. It is the last home fixture of the season FFS, traditionaly one to enjoy whatever our position in the league. There is no reason why we can't kick off at 12 noon as we have done in the past.

As for just being jealous of Tigers' success. My reaction would have been the same regardless of who it was. ... Would you accept it so easily if it was the shaggers or trees or cov that wanted the ground?

But if they play the match at their own ground our match would still have to move to another day.

Not true, it's moved because of the groundshare. Same day matches only require a change in KO time.

Got a ticket for the Specials in Brum on the Sunday. Avoided buying one for the Saturday for obvious reasons, now what?

At least we'd still have a half decent pitch to play it on.

(I'm assuming here that common sense will prevail here and the game will be played on the Sunday).

And besides, why can't we kick off at 12 as we have done in the past.

You know what? I'm not that bothered that we are letting them use our ground, what bothers me is the fact that the club has not given ANY consideration to it's own fans.

On the Tigers website there was a small sentence saying how this decision is the best for Tigers because it minimilises the problems for their supporters.

Well I'm sorry, but what about OUR supporters? It certainly doesn't make things easier for us. I don't have a problem with matches having kickoff times moved an hour or two when we are on the same day, or when the Health & Safety bods ask one of us to move dates to prevent a fixture clash, but to actually CHOOSE to move our 3pm satdee kick off so they can benefit bloody annoys me.

Assuming we are promoted by then(and I blinkin hope we are!) a Friday night game won't allow a lot of fans to make it because of work commitments etc, my best mates daughters certainly won't be able to, one works at Lincoln Hospital and on Thurs and Fridays works til 7pm, and her other daughter is at Uni down in London, so after finishes whatever lecture she has won't be able to get back up here in time.

I think the club haven't looked any further than the money they are going to get from this deal, when imo they should've considered the implications on their own support first.

Plus you can't tell me that the Tigers can't delay the knock down of that stand by a week so they can have the full capacity for the game........

But as Jeff has stated earlier, even if they played at their ground, the police have said both games CANNOT take place on the same day, not a few hours apart as normal, but a different day. Seeing at the Rugby rules state their game must be 3pm on Saturday (same as the last league fixture in our season) we would have to move anyway. This way we get some money out of the upset.

If anyone is to blame it is the safety mob - both clubs have played on the same day before.

BUT we were allowed to both play the same day early in the season when we played Millwall and I'm sure the security issues were greater for that game than against Scunthorpe unless they have suddenly become a club with a violent football following since we played at their ground in November

I can't see the problem in Tigers playing at Welford Road at 3pm and we kick off at 12-30 or 1pm and delaying the demolition even if this meant the posh new stand aint ready for the start of the season. I seem to remember City had to endure this at Filbert Street 14/15 years ago did the Tigers help us then?

But if that is the case, then how come we've had matches so far this season where we have played on the same day, only a couple of hours apart, indeed it's been a common occurence for that to happen as well as moving it to different days for as long as I've been going.

I suspect it's the OB cashing in on 2 big games.

I suspect it's more that it's their last game and our last home game, so the last chance for either set of resident thugs to have one last kick off with the away fans (or even the other sports fans) after the game.
