we will go down this season. Stoke have to win against us to secure automatic promotion, Sheff Utd still have something to play for, but Southampton are infinitely more likely to get a result than we are.
In a straight fight i wouldn't back us against Mr Muscle, so it looks like league one.
If we go down to league one, will we get 32,000? If you take a zero off that i think you're nearer the money.
Will we take 5,000 fans to Yeovil or Bournemouth should they stay up. I think not.
Mandaric's balance sheet will need some f*cking stabiliser wheels on it with the lack of season tickets that he'll sell at face value.
No point in a post mortem, every single one of the 30+ players used has been shit from back to front, all of the managers performed incredibly, incredibly badly. Mandaric has been no inspiration and proof if proof were needed, that money does not make a football club. Bristol City, Blackpool etc all punching above their weight due to team spirit.
Something that has long since been nothing but a myth at Leicester City.
Until it is regenerated we will continue on our route down to meet Nuneaton and Hinckley

30 + 10

A ****ing scandal in itself!!

At this point the announcer decided to thank all the fans on behalf of the club, for their support. I'm sure the half dozen or so who heard appreciated it :icon_roll

I heard that too, god knows why he thought it would be a good idea to say that after watching 30,000 people disappear with 5 minutes to go.

I was in that section, slightly further down and it did make the day slightly more lively. To say the Sheffield fans were being provocative (right from their first goal) is an understatement and I guess they'd probably spent a while in the bar beforehand too. They ended up being herded back into the box behind the glass after the 2nd or third scrap.

The coppers stayed next to us for the rest of the game, and, having been asked to sit down on the steps so the fans could see, the copper one next to us kept falling asleep, even with our row singing "wake up" to him. There was a punch up in the family stand after the final whistle too.

I walked around inside the stand to meet and chat to my brother after the game and so was still there about 10 mins after the whistle went. Was close to me, right at the back of P2. A chap lit up a fag after their 3rd goal and someone behind him told him to put it out, and the guy who was smoking went mental and had to be restrained by his mates and his son, kept shouting at the bloke who'd asked him to stop smoking, who eventually walked down the steps to stand by the exit for the last few minutes to avoid any further altercation. The smoker followed him down and tried to start a fight with him, only to get completely humiliated and battered. Served him right. They'd both ran off by the time any stewards or police even noticed what was going on.

Re: Sheff Weds

the premature piss...one of my best strategies when a goal is needed.

So that's the Wednesday fans were doing just before half-time!

Re: Sheff Weds

We're gone. Think Southampton will get something in their last 2 games. They have to win 1 though cos of goal difference

It's over.

If we don't get anything off Stoke, two draws will do for Southampton.

Hmm, I'm no genius Fludie, but it sounds to me like he/she saw about 40 City fans beating up two Wednesday fans. On Walnut Street. That's the vibe I'm getting, anyway...

It may be that Fludie was saying, "So!! What's wrong with that??" He is a young man of so few morals.

All those not prepared to go to League One to watch LCFC should be spat in the face. What makes you think you're better than that? Terrible and pathetic.....Man City, Sheff Weds, Leeds, Treescum, Wolves etc all got/get massive support down there. We will need it too if we are to get out of it.

Very harsh, alex.

Some people struggle to afford to go to the football, but the level we are playing at they can possibly justifying it into the "entertainment" budget by saying "well, I don't drink, don't smoke" etc.

When their entertainment value becomes less, and they are seeing players that have never heard of, I understand that the spending is harder to justify.

Call me soft, but I wouldn't spit in their faces.

Nor would I, fair enough that was OTT...

BUT, the sentiment remains, no one was saying that they would find it hard to afford to watch football in League One, they were merely saying that they wouldn't, more out of principle. It's that attitude from our supporters which I think makes us such an unpopular club with other fans.....

TBF, I think we are no different to other clubs. Forest are a very well supported club, albeit by Morons. I know a few people who didn't renew when they got relegated. I totally understand their decision not to.

'tis a shame, especially for a club like Forest, who in historical, and successful terms piss all over our little club.

But that's football, if the rewards aren't worth the expense, don't go. I'm not a "die hard" fan, so maybe it's easier for me to understand it than those who eat, breathe and sleep Leicester city.

I will support my club no matter where they are TBH, and it costs me a fortune to do so, however I am also not one who goes every week due to other commitments, so in may ways it's easier for me to drop in/out and moan. Perhaps if I was going week in/out then I would have a far worse opinion of it all...

I'm still unsure what to do.

a) Renew
b) Don't renew, but focus on more away games.

The decision isn't "league" based, it's "enjoyment" based, and I aint enjoying it.

Why are we so appalling this season do you think Melts, really?
I haven't got a clue, alex. My only solution is to follow the chain of responsibilty and deal with it on that level.

But this is what I see;

The players individually are decent for this league, but collectively they can't play together. Motivation is poor, passing is poor, positioning is dire, shooting is dire, tactical decisions seem to baffle me and the general attitude is poor. Ollie comes on RL bragging about this type of match being what he got into management for. The bloke should be bloody ashamed we're in this position with this set of players.

However, I do feel fitness levels have improved significantly under Holloway, I will give him credit for that. But, I'd rather have a Mondeo performing at 74%performance, than an Allegro performing at 100%.

Simple answer, alex, don't know. But the fact the club doesn't know either, despite them having all day every day to identify it, worries me greatly.

It worries me too. I cannot get it at all.....Why have we for years now taken players and made them shite?

I'm not. Are you? Is any LCFC fan?

I am a bit shocked.

I usually have a good idea how matches will go - and in all honesty am more often broadly right than wrong. I hadn't got a clue about this one.

I have always believed that we were punching below our weight and when it came to the crunch that we would just scrape to safety. I knew we were a rubbish side and a disgrace to the history of the club with an idiot manager but I really didn't factor in how very very poor we are.
