Like I said, the early signs are good. I'm more worried about what their expectations are and how quickly they lose patience when they're not met. Isn't Top on record as saying he is after promotion this season? Which is all well and good. But if we haven't achieved that in two or three years time I'm concerned that he will get bored and stop pumping cash in. Are we even quite sure where all this money is coming from? Because Top's personal wealth isn't really that huge. Presumably the mystery 'third wheel' is providing funds.

I was told that the 3rd backer is a swiss Billionaire. I'm not sure any more info has been made available, so i'm not 100%. Needles to say though there's more money in this than their families wealth. I asked the same sort of question you have and all I was told is that if we don't achieve this season we will next. Read into that what you like, to me it says they are willing to pump whatever money it takes to get the best team for this league and they believe it's not a case of if we get promoted but when.

Hasn't the 3rd backer already been announced someone from Indonesia? Arif, I think was his name.

These millions that have been put in to fund the new players.

Is it real money that has gone in as equity, or as I suspect, is it just loans, backed by them, that have simply increased the debt of the club?

Before anyone is asking - no, it's not me.

Might be one of my neighbors, though.

Are you sure it's not you?

If it is,you can buy a house over here to stay in when you come over for the games, but you can let me live there for free as i'll make sure no one breaks in and claims squatters rights.
I just need two bedrooms for me ta very muchly!(One to be turned into a craftroom that is super organised and not like it is now, loats of storage boxes but nothing actually IN the boxes!):icon_redf

3/4 points off... So suddenly that draw against Preston looks deadly

Or the loss to palace, or Norwich, or Portsmouth, or any of other dog shit results under Sousa.

Silly argument you are making there mate. If we don't get promoted this year...the blame will lay at Sousa's door for me.

Same for me, shit manager. Hope he gets a job at Derby or something...

Absolutely. There are no two ways about it.
Do you struggle to be accepted in the States demonstrating such logic or am I just pandering to stereotypes? :icon_wink

Blades 22nd? I'll take it :038::038::038:

Or another way to look at it is that if we better a couple of our away results we could easily be in the mix come the end of the season.

Exactly. Any points we can take off teams like Forest, Cardiff, QPR, Norwich and Watford will be invaluable.

I think seriously the major word in the above is IF. Anyone in this league is capable of beating anyone else at the moment. Form counts for little in this divison. We'll be alright.:icon_cool

Sadly, at that rate of return we won't overhaul any of the clubs in the playoff spots.

I think we will improve on that rate of return now Sven has got the squad playing the way he wants them to (almost) and has a couple more signings to go with the likes of the Yak and Bamba.

We have 10 points from the last 4 games - if we were to keep up that level of form we would end up with 84 points and automatic promotion.

We also happen to have three points from the last game - if we carry on with that rate of return then we'll end up with 93 points, and automatic promotion is ours for the taking

See, I can do it too

Wibble.......
