I totally agree with you. I also think people have the right, within the law, to chant whatever the hell they like at a football match. If some of our fans want to chant for MA, let them. They are not 'poisonous' for doing so. They are expressing their opinion, which is as valid as anyone else's.

In my opinion, MM is being incredibly 'poisonous' making idiotic slurs about MA. The 'players weren't fit' when it was patently obvious that they were. The performance in the first game v Florist was a 'disgrace' but last night's was no better for the most part and actually worse in some respects. Not to mention the last 15 minutes on Saturday!

According to most of you, MM is free to make dozy arse statements but supporters are not. I beg to differ.

What he is saying is that it is utter poison to make such comments right in the middle of a League Cup tie away to Forest

Poison to the manager, coaching staff and players who were actually seeking to win the game

And he's absolutely spot on

Milan doesn't make his "dozy arse statements" during a game that we are trying to win. Some of our 'supporters' did. QED.

First post, 'lo.

I'm de-lurking because of MM comments this morning. It really is a divisive stance he's seeming to take with us, some agree with him, some don't. This hard line, 'my way', strategy may work, and we'll get where we want to be, or enough of the fans will fight him all the way on every little issue and he'll piss off with his cash. Then what?

Anyroad, I agree fully with the content of his statement. Bit of a public telling off but move on, we've games to win.

Your spot on Homey. Can do without such dross and their chanting.

I only hope those singing for Martin Allen will feck off to the next club he manages. Unacceptable.

Welcome Sir.

Isn't the 'game' the place where supporters have always made their opinions known? I'd much rather they do it there than in some trumped up supporters liasion meeting or such like. To deny supporters the right to voice their opinion at a game is pretty extraordinary.

The day he pisses off with cash will be the day we are back in the premiership, in which case he has done what he said he would do and thats fine by me.

There is a certain section of fans that seem to demonise MM and everything he does, its like an underground militia of the FT.

The trouble is it's probably the only place we as supporters can make any comment or opinion public.

However I have to say that although I didnt like what MM did in relation to MA2, and I think his actions wrong I do agree with his comments. Whilst entitled to make opinions known I think that "one Martin Allen" chants are counter productive. But I stand by anybodys right to hold that opinion if they so wish - but please be aware of what damage such comments may do!

I also would like to say that after last night I am incredibly proud of our club. The comments and repsect for Leicester City after giving back the goal, has been gushing in the media today. Brilliant.

It was a bunch of mindless sheep who followed one or two muppets, i don't want to go to anymore away games if they are populated by the prats that turned up last night.

Did anyone hear the racist noises made at Agogo? i think the police went in to get them and then they are called scum, oh the irony.

But not if it could be of detriment to the team's performance surely?

I actually sense a bitterness on this, I think anyone supporting MA2 will be shot down in flames by MM. This may be ego-driven, or the fact that he is exasperated that 'fans' without knowing the facts would rather support MA than the man who is pouring his own money and energy in to the club.

Utter drivel

The brave new world of the modern football LCFC fan consists of:

The ritual booing of Jordan Stewart, and now Mark De Vries, when the players names are called out before the feckin' game

The half time booing when we are drawing or losing by a goal

The full time booing by some every time we do not win

And now the chanting of a former manager's name whilst the current team are actually trying to win a game of football

Never used to happen in the good old days - and should not be tolerated in way shape or form these days

Don't worry, they don't go to many away games, only those where there's a chance of an off ( see Derby and Millwall away for instance ). Fortunately they wouldn't be seen in the pubs we go to at away games, they're just after lager palaces with pool cues to throw around. Pisses me off when I have to share the same ground as them 'tho.

I think the statement surprises me somewhat. In many peoples opinions MA should not have been removed as manager, but in his capacity as Chairman (or the man with the cash) MM felt it prudent to remove him which is his right to do so. His big mistake however is that he (for what ever reason maybe legal or not) hasn't made it public why he sacked MA but we all expected to blindly accept his decisions like sheep. Some fans, myself included thought that MA was doing a good job and I personally was not happy when he was sacked. However the best way for MM to prevent us "the fans" from making chants like that is to be succesfull on the park. In the same vain, if the players disliked MA as has been suggested then those chants should give them impetus to play better in order to prove them wrong. If we are succesfull then mark my words MA will soon be forgotten and everyone will sing GM's praises and MM will be a visionary. If we are not succesful then these sort of chants will get louder. In summary, if MM would have told us why (and I don't mean MA wasn't leading us in the right direction, when plainly he was) he was sacked then we might be right behind him but in my personal opinion I will not blindly follow MM's lead every time he decides to change things just because he feels like it. I pay my cash for a ticket and therefor have an opinion just as he has the cash and he can do as he feels with it.

Didn't it?
It always surprises me that we've an element of vocal, fickle 'fans' as far back as I can remember.
No-one booed MON at the start did they.....

I totally agree with MM on this occasion, the chanting was pathetic. I told the 2 fans that travelled with me they were out of order.

Well done,
I hate these moaning pratts that are suppose to be fans.
they boo the players,
Boo the managers

If supporting city is that bad, dont go and let the true supporter get what little enjoyment we can from the club.

I do not agree, in any way, with people jeering our manager but, I was not aware that we are such a well supported club that we can start to select our supporters. Will we be introducing a written test? Must a fan be domiciled within a certain radius of the Walkers, or is the acceptance of Mr. Manadaric's actions to be the sole requirement?
I am sure that such silly chants will gradually die away and an attack on our own fans will only delay the healing of the rift.
What a pity that at a time that the national press are singing Leicester's praises, we are inveigled into this self distructive cul de sac.

I see MM claims it was his idea for the gesture.Mr Bason from the trust claimed it was the independant supporters association who contacted the club.
