trust me most people wont celebrate or cry, i dont think they will bother getting off their arse and showing some emotion.
I'm guessing there'll still be no comment for a while after the meeting, they'll probably need to call another one in a few weeks to confirm if they made the right decision.

One thing I do notice about this board is that all there meetings are scheduled for matchdays. Why, because they don't care as much about Leicester City Football Club as they do their main interests. They are too busy raking in the money in their "day jobs" to invest time in their hobby. This isn't good for the club

I will be frank - they're all wankers

Nothing like a bit of rhetoric to end the day......

Anythings better than watching the footy!!

I think you really know you've hit rock bottom as a Leicester fan when we turn down a Multi Millionaire owner who is proven at making football clubs successful for short term restructuring and the hope a few kids in the academy will be useful in 5 years time.

Will the last one out please turn off the lights.

Melts, this is an EGM, and 47 people are entitled to be present. I would guess that for the vast majority it will be easier to attend on a matchday. Some live a fair distance away, and some live abroad. Heaven forfend, they could then watch the match afterwards. I would guess that most normal board meetings are held on weekday evenings.

I've been told that the board are very keen on the deal and really want it to go ahead. The only concern they have is whether the shareholders want to make too much out of it. This is from an ex player who still has contact with the club.

i cant help but feel your clutching at straws duzz-we all know bob hazell is a reliable source and hes pretty much hinted the deal is off :(

No, I've not said the deal is off - least I didn't mean to if thats how it came out!

I merely agreed with a well informed other view of the deal - i.e. Dunc - that not all is totally rosy in the shared garden of MM and certain members of the board: but at this stage still, that is only to be expected, I'm afraid. As with any purchase in any business scenario, there is always a certain amount of posturing/one-upmanship (rightly or wrongly)to contend with. That said, I'm still confident of completion.

So we are on again. Yippee!:038:
