My thoughts exactly, so much so i have already pasted one into the Fowler thread!! Sorry if that has upset anybody!!!
Mattock shouldn't be allowed to leave. Future england international.
and Villa aren't going to sign Stearman they've got enough at RB without him.
With Fowler and Campbell in we could afford to lose Fryatt though, although i'd rather not.
Surely getting shot of Hammond and De Vries should free up the wage bill/
After all, there will be 28,000 plus for the first 5 or so games of the season with the interest in the new squad. That should keep the coffers from drying up even if the whole sqaud is on over 10k a week, which they aren't.

It's by no means certain that money is what has stopped this deal going through but if it is, why is anybody surprised? How many of us would want to tear up a lucrative contract just because the other party did not want it to continue?
