Totally non plussed about Kasper going/staying.

If he wants to be Denmark's number 1, surely he has to be playing first team football?

Powell seems the perfect "NP TYPE" signing, the fact its on most interset sites suggest to me its a possibility, Jones and Hamer are players id expect us to sign if we were a Championship club. As for Kasper, if hes being over-greedy which could upset a settled camp, then let him go, i cant envisage him going as a No2 but Southampton could well be his destiation if they are willing to meet his demands. Not the proper thread for this but i noticed Wasyl didnt dither or attempt to penny pinch, "where do i sign Nigel", he likes it here and puts that above financial matters, Pity Nuge and Kasper dont have same attitude

I've never been quite sure that NP rates Schmeichel. He's the player that always got most of NPs touchline 'looks' or was berated for something or other. Pre-NP, Schmeichel was always using long throws to the half way line and early kicks forward to try to isolate one on one, etc. NP stopped all that.

On the plus side, KS is a good shot stopper and puncher. He rarely misses a kick and is positionally sound. On the negative side, he's not commanding from set pieces or tall enough. His distribution is patchy and occasionally, he drops a right clanger.

Were NP to find a potential replacement number one with equivalent or superior attributes, I could imagine him instructing the DofF to offer KS a contract that was not especially tempting. KS has said several times that he wants to stay and also that he's not been offered a contract by the club, despite there being talks.
