Well it is if it fecks up the morale within the whole of the rest of the squad, due to smashing the established wage structure

Sooner spunk the money on a transfer fee, and maintain a good balance elsewhere

I certainly agree on that, especially if there actually is a wage cap, which I'm not sure has actually been established.

I don't disagree with the point about defensive weaknesses. I think we're well short. The one addition we have made is no better than what we have - he's about the same level - and therefore we are strengthened by depth, not by having a better player

But if you think we can go into a Premier League season with Nugent and Vardy, presumably with Chris Wood as back up, then you're deluded. We need at least one more - and if it happens to be that we are only allowed to buy players that are only as good as the main two (rather than better) then so be it.

Totally agree with all this. We're nowhere near good enough defensively. Overall, I think we're five players short and I can't believe that NP doesn't recognise this. As well as permanent signings, I'm hoping he's got one or two loans in the pipeline.

If he fails to improve us properly, chances are that another manager will be desperately scrabbling about for players to bail us out in January.

With the world about to end it seems pointless signing him.

Google translate:
With the World about to end, the market promises full throttle and one of the first moves must pass Alvalade desired by several English and French teams, Slimani, knows GAME, is now the primary target of Leicester, who is preparing to submit very soon near the eight million euros in order to ensure the hiring of the Algerian striker that shone in Brazil proposal.

the world is ending?! But there's so much I've not done! I'll never get to see dinosaurs feeding!

Ah no, surely the world's not ending again is it?

Charlie Austin £6m according to The Sun

Very concerned at the lack of being linked to left-backs.

Also so maybe the owners comments about a transfer warchest are biting us on the arse as clubs are asking for too dollar.

If we want Ulloa so much, I'd suggest we go back with a bid in August. His prospects with Brighton will be much clearer then.

Very concerned about the lack of defenders in general. Anyone that thinks that going into the season with a first choice back four of De Laet, Morgan, Upson/Was/Moore, Schlupp/Konch being a good idea is just daft.

I'm not concern, largely because very few Pearson transfers become apparent before they happen. My suspicion is that we are bidding for upload in an attempt to bring someone else in, because after winning the championship god knows we can afford 7.5m easy

While I understand to some extent that people may get edgy because, like all other clubs, we have yet to conclude out summer transfer activity, I don't understand why anyone would be concerned about a lack of rumours, especially when we've already been linked to about 100 players this summer. But hey, whatever floats your boat, I guess...

Understand what you are saying DF.

I would have liked a few more signings to be going away with the squad to Austria though.

Not a fan of the transfer rubbish and what comes with it. However, it's been clear from the linked names we are after a robust striker which has led to bids for Ulloa. Yet the silence of a left back suggests City aren't targeting that position.

Also concerned that signing players into August effectively means you don't have your ideal XI over the first three games.

To be honest I wouldn't be surprised if Pearson knows his 11 already in spite of new signings. He seems quite intent on giving the players that got us here a chance. New signings will have to earn their way into the side I suspect.

Our rumoured targets seem to be going elsewhere each day eg Powell to Swansea? Ajax striker (Siggigson?) to QPR, Pelle to Sothampton , Cresswell to West Ham nobody else wants Ulloa
