Speculation The hysterical and annoying, but traditional, totally unfounded summer 2018 rumours thread.

Remember when Brazilian footballers had nicknames like Bebeto, Ronaldinho, Garrincha, Rivelino etc?

Now they’re all called Fred and Marlon and Douglas.

What’s that all about eh?

Ah, the Peter Kay standard. What a ****-awful comedian.

He said pissflaps too. Pissflaps is pretty much my catchphrase in every workplace I've had.

Signing an ageing Cambiasso was one thing, Felipe Anderson is entering his prime and would certainly be the biggest and most ambitious signing the club has made.

Sports Witness claiming we have made a £20m offer for Abdulkadir Omur of Turkish side Trabzonspor.

"After being dubbed the Turkish Messi, there are now reports referring to him as the Turkish Salah, which gives an idea of the hype.

The youngster scored 3 goals and provided 6 assists during his debut season in the Turkish top flight."

Not exactly Messi/Salah numbers, there.

The general rule of thumb these days is that any young player who can vaguely kick a ball in the direction they intended is dubbed the 'new Messi'.

Yeah maybe one to avoid there. Felipe Anderson showing good figures and in a high standard league. To be fair though, Riyad Mahrez didn't exactly shine for Le Havre in the French second tier.. 6 goals in 60 apps in 3 years.... sometimes it can be about taking a gamble on the potential. Although there's a big difference between £400k and £20m.

West Ham have reportedly had a €38m bid for Felipe Anderson turned down.

Yesterday Sky had Everton as favourites to sign Maddison.
Perhaps we have offered him a square garden as an inducement
