Speculation The hysterical and annoying, but traditional, totally unfounded summer 2018 rumours thread.

Atletico play a similar, not exactly the same but similar style of football as we did and continue to do so with great success. The backbone of their team is being unbelievably difficult to break down at the back and in defensive midfield. It just requires the right personnel.

And s true winning attitude.

Something many of our players lost after winning the league.

But only if we were prepared with spending big

How much is 'big'? £50 million for a player?

£50 million players don't want to come to Leicester. They want to go to one of the 'big' clubs.

If Harry Maguire was at another club, he wouldn't come to Leicester now. Not now he's a £60M+ player.
If Mahrez and Kante had been at Southampton, for example, there's no way they'd sign for Leicester when bigger clubs wanted them.

The way we end up with players worth £50 million, is by signing them for less, and turning them into more valuable players. Either because our scouts have spotted something others haven't, or by taking a chance on a young player with potential.

The only way we'll be able to sign top players is by becoming a big club. And that doesn't happen overnight, even if you have won the league.

You and your logic again Jeff!

I don’t know what I mean by big, for exactly the reason you describe. What I think I mean is showing some ambition and not haggling over the 1-2m that means the player doesn’t sign until 14 seconds after the deadline. Or maybe trying to give one of our competitive clubs an offer they can’t refuse. Or out-bidding Burnley for Gibson.

The most important thing, clearly, is that even for £80m we shouldn’t let him go without having someone else already in the door and fitness tested.

It's a shame talk about Vida has died away. I'd like him here. If he goes to Arsenal then fair enough we wouldn't have won that one. But if he ends up at Wolves I'm going to be a touch pissed off.

If you asked most fans at the start of the window what our priorities would be in terms of signings I would guess a lot would say a new right back, a new centre half and a creative attacking midfielder, all of which we’ve signed.

And a goalie, don't forget a goalie.

That really necessary? You can be quite a nasty git. And all because certain fans have concerns?
There's concerns and there's concerns.
The way that some express their concerns, I personally think they are put across in a nasty way to my beloved Leicester City and the manager Claude Puel.

I'm peeved off with all the negativity before a ball has even been kicked in earnest.

If that makes me come across as a nasty git, so be it.

Try not to all get too excited :tumbleweed:

"LEICESTER have had a bid for Stoke striker Mame Biram Diouf rejected after the Foxes failed to meet their £15million valuation.

Senegalese striker Diouf has been a target for Leicester during the past three windows."

Holy Sweet Ickle Baby Jebus and all the Blessed Saints
