They definitely are. But I'd hope we can work on multiple deals simultaneously - otherwise we're a bit ****ed with 3 days to go.

He's going to Man Utd on a loan to buy, option to buy for £5m and doubt his wages are huge as he hasn't had a new contract since Newcastle's takeover - should've been affordable alongside new centre backs.
I don't think he's any better than Ward, who for the record, has been absolutely fine except for his brain fart against Arsenal.

Okay so he killed some one and tried to flee the scene. It’s a no from me, and that is before getting balls deep into the fact his club are desperate to sell him.

We don’t need another Jack of all. Are we trying to relegate ourselves.
I never understood this stupid ****ing mentality.

I can only assume that Rodgers knows his players always get injured and so he looks for "versatile" players to fill in the gaps. ****ing useless bastard.

Experts and specialists in one position or we don't sign them. I don't want a left back playing ****ing right back or an attacking midfielder playing as a striker. How hard is that?

I'd rather not sign anyone than another stop gap or someone who plays in every position

Our main successes as a football club have always been when we had 11 specialists on the pitch. Totally agree - it is madness to fill the pitch with 11 players who all think they can play each other’s position.

Another central midfielder linked. Notable that it's us and Southampton given our new head of recruitment is coming from there.

Praet also being linked with a 'loan to buy' to Torino again.

Not sure about Brownhill, he's had an excellent start to the championship season but he seems like the midfield equivalent to David Nugent - probably a bit too good for the championship but can't quite make that step up to the PL.

CM rumours also make me worry more about losing Tielemans on deadline day.

Don't really know too much about Denayer but whenever I've seen him for Belgium, which admittedly isn't a huge amount, he has looked a bit of a weak link at the back....

Really scratching around now if true.

Definitely think Tielemans will be the one to go.

Wouldn't surprise me to see 3 leave still:
Tielemans
Perez
Soyuncu OR Vestergaard - feel like we won't let both go, we'd all clearly rather keep Soyuncu but he's more likely to have takers

It's got to the stage where anything we do from here will weaken us. I can't see any likely trading that will see us come out the other end stronger.

I'm slowly coming to the realisation that the only 'refresh' that seems sensible now is cancelling any significant outgoings and changing the management instead.

We do still have a strong and capable squad. Our manager just can't get a tune out of them any more.

I mean, this just isn't true is it? Unless you're also talking about cancelling the sale of Fofana, which I think is too far gone for us to do.

Any of the centre backs linked are better than Amartey.

Regardless of who the manager is, we need centre backs and a winger.

As long as any new signings are signed off by the new head of recruitment and not only Rodgers choices, then we should be signing them even if Rodgers could go soon.

Patience lady's and gents.... It's all about to get interesting!

I have a feeling that the end of this transfer window will be as cobbled together and shit as the end of Line of Duty.

As long as someone ends up with a new dog it isn't too bad I suppose. Sorry for the spoiler....
