He'll be highly sought after in France because he's a very capable player.
The problem will be getting a decent fee when almost everyone in France is skint.
It's an exceptionally poor reflection of Congerton that we signed someone utterly unprepared to adapt to the PL. He is clearly psychologically and physically immature.
Not the players fault at all. This is all on poor background work.

I'm sure I've read he's had some personal problems since being here so maybe we are just allowing him to move back for his sake.

The truer story is more likely that he ticked all those boxes but since coming here has perhaps, unexpectedly, suffered from poor mental health due to any number of factors.
To say he isn't prepared to adapt or is 'immature' in someway is totally unfounded and impossible to conclude.
Can we have a thread for 'Completely unfounded, made up rumours about players and their personal lives'? All this kind of stuff could go in there.

Probably more about how much potential buyers think the personal issues have had an impact on his ability and for how long. If he genuinely has problems then I feel for the kid, obvs. It's a risk for anyone to spend on him putting his performances for us down to what are rumours...he could actually just/also be a bit shit.
