Again though, his contract expires in 2024, so it’s probably a case of getting something, rather than nothing. Same as Ndidi.

I agree with you in that I could see him doing well for us this season, but that’s not the main driver of things at the minute.

I get that he might do that in the championship but I'm bored of Iheanacho. He's blatantly leaving at the end of his contract so let's just move him on now and start afresh. Let's hope we can replace him with someone young, hungry and competent.

Because it is wrong. That's why. It makes no sense and is just plain lazy. You might as well say 2 and makes 5.

Would he though? He'd still have many, many games where he'd look as though he's come third in a competition and been given a prize after the winner and runner up dropped out.

Technically, he's just a bit shit a lot of the time, despite having the odd decent performance.

It is a living language though, with changes in use and comprehensability happening constantly and you understood perfectly well what he was communicating, in a way that many others do too, despite the fact that you wouldn't say it that way. It makes no sense to complain about this unless you want to go back to the kind of English found in Beowulf, which at least would not be lazy. Maths does not change with use though, so this is completely unlike claiming that 2 and 342 makes 5
