Oldfield was half decent sometimes. I do remember one comedy gold moment though at Filbert Street.

It had snowed heavily and the grounds men had cleared the pitch and piled it up around the edge.

Oldfiekd I believe, always thought he had more ability than he did and this game he seemed to take on 3/4 of the opposition than ran down the wing, tripped up and skidded off the pitch head first burying himself in the snow.

It's a great achievement & everything but I really don't like stats like that.

It diminishes the records of all the great players who had the misfortune to have careers before some arsehole thought up the Premier League as a concept. I grew up watching some of those players.

Nothing to be done about it I know, but i still don't like it.
