Haha, I thought I would spend a couple of years abroad to see what it's like. Turned out Scandinavia is not that bad after all. :icon_razz

On topic, I'm reading Horace G. Lunt's classic Old Church Slavonic Grammar. Fascinating stuff.

That was a couple of years before I started going though so can't say I know either of them.

Just finished Nikos Kazantzakis - Freedom or Death.
Interesting read about Cretan riot towards the Turkish Ottoman occupants. Bit heavy and "oldfashioned" lanuage at times but I got through it and it made me check out Cretan history. Bloody stuff! Quite a big contrast to todays tourist industry.

Deffo a good read. I would also recommend the Warlord Chronicles (King Arhtur stuff), my favourite trio of books I think and Cornwells best work IMO.

Do you mean the outlaw chronicles by Angus Donald? There are 4 so far, quality read.

I think he probably means The Warlord Chronicles trilogy by Bernard Cornwell. Just a guess like
