Just a question, what have Leeds actually won in the last 30 years:102:

DIV 1 1992 ? and:102:

Hardly rolls off the tongue

****ing hell, how can you not remember this great achievement? I know they have had the title for a decades but still, on the 8th of August they retained their crown

Beckford has a good goal scoring record in league 1, but if he ever moves up the leagues he will be found out like so many other "quality" strikers.

David Nugent anyone?
Or indeed Matty Fryatt, or Steve Howard. Both have excellent goalscoring records at this level. There are plenty of strikers around who can score in League 1, Beckford included, but like the rest he's totally unproven at a higher level. I think he might be quite good in the Championship as well, but doubt he could go higher.

nowt wrong with northerners :icon_wink just Yorkshire folk. they're a breed of their own

Not necessarily. The elite of us are scousers. And some of us scousers HATE Leeds.

I hope I made the above posting with soul, heart, anti-racist and life-long socialist integrity.

This city (not town as you so rightly say, as it has a crap and chosen-by-ballot but valid cathedral) of Leicester, was a mankpit when I came here from the Pool in 1963. It had one club, the Il Rondo, with too much fighting on the dance floor. It has changed beyond all recognition. Belgrave Road, and immigration, saved this city from scumdom, and we've never looked back.

It is now a city which I am proud to call my new home. It has a team which I am proud to call my team. Leicester is my home, now. Leicester City is one of the most inter-racially-supported, and family- and female-supported teams in the UK.

This is a FACT.

Leeds is a scum racist club. And this is also a FACT.

All whites - what's that all about? Ummmmm?

Sorry, am I being too politically passionate?

I do apologise, and plead old age. And politics :)

You're forgetting the Palais, just as much fighting but the music wasn't as good as the Il Rondo.

Oh, okay then, I'll let you off, it was a long time ago.

I'd say the elite of the North are those who were born in Shotley Bridge, County Durham.....but thats just fact really and this place is about opinions. As for socialists, nothing beats good old 'little Moscow' which is the birth place of me old ma. I do love it being classed as 'controversial' that it became part of Gateshead, after all it hasn't got a pound shop or a Wilkinsons :icon_lol: **** me now there's a history lesson, first shop opened in Leicester!

Not forgetting The Palais. But us feeble Uni students didn't ever go in there.

Too, too scary!

:)

It wasn't called the Palais in 63.

He's run along now, probably gone to put a pillow-case on his head and knock one out whilst thinking of Hitler's walking action.

Whatever Leeds, it's all conjecture. I just love the fact that after they beat Crewe A at home then we get one of their inbreds on here.... Where was he when Oldham turned them over or Bristle Rovers got a point at Bellend Road?

Paffetik init?

Jog on you twiddle.

What was it called then?
I thought it was the Palais from the 40s through to the 70s, then renamed Palais again in about 97

If that's the case I will apologise but first I'll check with the wife - she frequented it - not me. Thursday night without the old man. Maybe my addled brain has confused 63 and 70 something - as it went through a few different names.

You are right - definitely still the Palais when I left City Boys in 1963

Well the wife's not back yet so I'll apologise now instead of waiting. Sorry I said you were wrong.

This is a very emotional time for me, nobody has ever apologised to me before, ever...and I might not even be right.

And it's also a fact that scousers are known for being thieving t.wats.
Everybody is the UK knows not to trust a scouser whatever he does or whatever he says and I know it has been a long standing joke for years.

So, as tradition goes, go and T.W.O.K a few cars, rob a few houses, beat a few people up and take people's wallets.

Oh and by the way. Do you have a moustache? Most Scousers have a moustache and curly hair.

Cum ed!!!
