I was sorry to see Pearson leave, but I am more interested in the future. Did anyone ask what the plans are? Who is going to be SGE's assistant, is Powell staying on as coach (I hope so)? Anything about player fitness, sports medicine, improving the squad?

Asked if Tord Grip was coming he said i dont no yet...though Powell and Stowell are staying

Moan moan moan, always got to have something to moan about!

Guaranteed if he didn't ask those questions he would be getting flack for that as well!

I like Stringer. There, I said it.

I like his commentaries and I like the fact that he'll ask questions where others bottle it.

He got right under MMs skin again today. There is clearly no love lost there and quite right too.

I expect an ambitious journo to challenge bullshit. Stringer is rough round the edges and makes mistakes, but he's in a different league to the likes or Barber, Foulger, Sinclair etc.

Most of his questions were mumbled nonsense, I found it embarrassing to listen to. Ask the NP question by all means, but today was not the day to do it. He gets enough access to MM to ask those questions another time.

If it was after the questions to/and or about Sven - moving club forward etc., I think it is very legitimate.

Milan is a serial manager sacker. God knows what the pay-off to Paulo was. Sven will not have come cheap, either salary or team investment.

If Pearson's comments are at odds with Milan's, then the public/supporters have a right to know if Sven is likely to end up as another expensive 9 match wonder.

It may now be Thai money, but every million that is wasted on paying off managers is a million that cannot be spent on team development. That does not take into account stability for the team and club either.
Thank God. A sensible post!

Really? What's the point in skimping on managerial fees so you can give a below par one the opportunity to spunk millions on shite players and screw over the existing team members? Have you forgotten about Sousa already?

Dave Jones is one of the highest paid players in this division but has spent what he's had w*s*ly, and generated revenue for the club through sell-ons whilst delivering results. Probably cost more in wages than anything you've laid out in sackings etc.

A bad manager can do far more damage than a good one having a million less to spend in the transfer market can. I'll take the expensive quality manager every time.

I really wish people would stop trying to pretend that Stringy is a journalist, because he ****ing isn't

So what if we have got thai millionaires or Sven Goran Eriksson. We're still currently in the Championship.

Give them a chance! The takeover has yet to be ratified, Sven hasn't even met the team yet and you point out we are still in the Championship :102:

I think the question should have been asked why Milan issued a statement backing Paulo just before sacking him when he was quite obviously in London with the owners drawing up the Sven deal. That behaviour has got the LMA riled. The Pearson thing is a non starter for me

Interesting how the LMA never got riled when Megson fecked off
