if we lose on Sat, we go down...it's that simple....
i am ****ing gutted

Ollie is/was out of his depth when he came here FACT.

We (the fans) now have to pay the consequences for the dreadful mis-management from the board that we have had to endure this season. FACT

The board, call a spade a spade, you mean Milan there is only one person running this club now

We the fans have to adjust our expectations, commensurate with the level to which this club can aspire.

Hopefully us being in the bottom 3 will provide at least a couple members of our shite team a little more motivation. Having Hendrie back will help as well. I'm as depressed as the rest of you lot, but we have to try and remain positive. Saying that, I don't know how any of you lot can muster up a song while watching the ineptitude that is LCFC this season.

Season is going to be over on saturday if we do not win, sheff weds and barnsley i cannot see us winning, maybe a point a stoke, 4 points is no where near enough to keep us in the league, reality check to milan for all his fuk ups over the past 12 months

What makes you think Megson would have done any better?

His record with us was relegation form, his record at Bolton is relegation form, and his record at f*r*st was relegation form. He's a serial loser (with the occasional 0-0)

Absolutely spot on Jeff!

Talk to any Forest fan who endured Megson's miserable reign, take a guess at how Bolton fans view his tactical awareness today and be aware that the Baggies fans were totally despondent about the lack of entertainment and results towards the end of his stay at the Hawthorns...

as I've said before a negative, spoiling, one(defensive) trick pony.

I can't can be bothered to trawl through old threads but remember how the vast majority of people on here felt about our style of play when he was briefly at the helm...

f**k Megson...he was never the answer.

In the cold light of day I accept that a lot of us were a bit over-emotional in our reactions last night.

Those of us who had done the BBC prediction thing would probably not have had Barnsley down as away winners at Watford. Most of us were also assuming that a team that had been knocked out of the FA cup would be demoralised to the extent that they would simply roll over and die.

Instead, Barnsley have dusted themselves down, got back on their feet and come out fighting for their second tier lives.

Even though we are not down yet, I think it is that last statement that hurts us so much as we have yet to see any evidence of our lot being able to do the same as Barnsley have.

The reality is, we are still in a position to do something about our predicament. True, by the time the fat lady has sung we may well be counting on other results to have gone our way. But the fact remains that we are not down yet so, like Durham intimated in one of his posts, we should all put our feelings towards Mandaric, Holloway and the players to one side until such time as we do actually know our fate.

This is not a blue mongie type attitude. Get behind the team again starting from Saturday. If there is the slightest chance that OUR attitudes and efforts can make a difference than we should do what we can.

The worst thing of all would be to go down with a whimper having not bothered to get behind our team and in the weeks and months ahead never been quite sure if things would have turned out differently if we had actually cared enough to do something.

We've already beaten Sheff Weds and Barnsley this season, why do you think we can't do it again?

Bunch of miserable barstewards in here! We are some really winable games coming up. If we can beat Scunny at home we can beat Colchester. We can get points from Wednesday adn Barnsley and that is not with rose tinted glasses on. It is based on the under performers that will be taking the field in those games.

It is at times like this that the fans can really make a difference. I suspect the Wednesday and Barnsley fans will be 100% behind them this weekend. Why are we looking to hinder our chances further now?

See the season out to safety adn then rip it all to sheds in the close season. Now is not the time!!!!

All reasonably true - but the only reason people are now getting almost nostalgic about Megson( who has proven well capable of dire football and dire results ) is because they are realising that we have a complete clown in charge now.

On the whole Megson looks as if he serious - whilst our current manager makes an idiot of himself.

Excellent post IMO.

But Megson achieved less in terms of points per game and did it devoid of any entertainment (on the pitch and off it).

Apparently Bolton fans have started a petition to get rid of Megson...
