why? is it really going to make a difference, or do you mean everybody goes down with the ship?

Yeah right.

Back in 1990 when the chips really were down (i.e. against Oxford) the crowd really did make a difference. A full house got right behind the team, which then put in a performance far and away better than anything in the previous dozen games.

Hopefully he hasn't or he wont give a shit where we finish, that would be professional suicide.

With respect - I think you are quite wrong on that one.

Holloway won't want our relegation on his c.v. He has a big professional stake in us avoiding the drop anyway.

I cannot remember that game you mention, must be before my time.

The crowd need to lift these no hopers to beat Colchester and then turn out in force at Barnsley to try to get a result.

We've been turning up all season to get a result. We've sung cheered shouted screamed and even taken our fcukin shoes off in the pissin rain.

What these fcukin no hopers need to do is get a fcukin result to pay us back for all we've done for them and actually play like they give a toss.

..Oh, no hang on a minute, I'm getting confused between those who really care and those who are just paid to look as though they care, sorry, I'm going now, can someone pass me my shoes and I'll get my coat.

I remember it well. I took a radio in to try and listen to how West Brom were doing, and couldn't hear a thing!
Does anyone think our fans will get behind the team this time ?
Or are they too cheesed off after years of dross ?

Spot on :038::038::038:

Thats true ,but we didnt have 4 years of the same crap as we do now .

I'm not denying that.

However, does that really mean that we should let the club sink 'just to teach them for the past 4 seasons'.

I'll be there for the next four matches, backing the team to the hilt. If the worse happens, I'll give myself the small consolation that at least I was there and gave them every encouragement.

A lot of the posters on here have some very valid points, but others just add to the general doom & gloom without really thinking

I'll attempt to do the same (give the team some backing!)
Difficult where I sit sometimes, but I'll try.

Right could all those people who said if we kept the clown Holloway we would be OK and would not get relegated, please put their hands up

I have been for Ollie until this point but..... I know tonights result is nothing to do with him but we are where we are not because Barnsley shafted Watford but because we are an inept bunch of tossers led by a tactically redundant court jester.

Saturday will be very interesting.

Why are we all talking as though we're down? There's still 12 points to play for yet, we could still finish 11th!

We are one of 6 teams that could join Scunny and Colchester - and we have the easiest run in out the lot of them - we will stay up. A win on Saturday could take us into 17th.

Just did a BBC predictor of the results for the remainder of the season. Tried to be as realistic as possible. We ended on 51 points in the bottom 3.

'Adrian Boothroyd's men had gone eight games without a win before Saturday's 2-1 win over Coventry but due to the embarrassing lack of quality in the Championship kicked off knowing that a win would see them climb from fifth to top.'

Doesn't this just sum up the Championship this season.

Does this mean we have absolutely no chance at Barnsley (or Stoke)? Of course it doesn't.

Let's just ease off with all the tension until 3pm this Saturday. I've got lot's of work to do and dipping in to this forum every 15 minutes to check on the current mood is doing my head in!

Yep. As well as the fact that a week ago we were still mathematically in with a chance of the playoffs! Anyone can beat anyone in this division at the minute, we can turn over Stoke.

Welcome to our world!

I'll do a b-b-q before the mk match next season, all tbers invited

Almost makes dropping into the third tier worse.

I got slated for sticking up for GM, and slated for calling for IH to be sacked.

Well i hate to say it..............

BUT I TOLD YOU SO

What makes you think Megson would have done any better?

His record with us was relegation form, his record at Bolton is relegation form, and his record at f*r*st was relegation form. He's a serial loser (with the occasional 0-0)
