I've said it so many times H that it must be boring by now, but this club destroys players. We've seen it so many bloody times, and we keep on seeing it.Maybe not but I don't know what we were doing with that Mark Yeates because he looks a fair player for Colchester.
I think that Ollie will be sensible in the transfer market avoiding Iranians and Portuguese in favour of proven British players. One of my worries is that players may not want to come here if there is a serious danger of relegation.
He could always try doing what MON did and find players, not necessarily playing at the top level, who are hungry for success. Matt Elliot came from Oxford, Muzzy from Cheatsea reserves, Lily from Crewe etc etc...
None of the current crop look exactly hungry for success.
That's whats gets me too none of them shout for the ball or seem to want it
On a bright note thought the half time band was good :icon_lol::icon_lol::icon_lol:

Didn't hear them when they turned to face the family stand. Couldn't we have given them some mics?
Any more bright notes to report Newts?
Like, how's you back today :icon_bigg

They are better options upfront than what we have but its our midfield that is so woeful that it wouldn't make that much difference if it was Torres,Rooney and Adebayor.I don't think I can remember a team of ours with such poor midfield
My mate and I were both convinced that Craig Beattie was in a offside position when the ball was passed to him before he scored, but there has been no mention of it on here or from Ollie, so looking forward to seeing it again on the Championship tomorrow morning.
There's not much you can do when the opposition are so much better.
West Brom were a far, far, superior side but they could have tried closing the opposition down to stop them playing, they could have tried man marking the player that makes them tick (Greening) they could have tried not going missing for large periods of the game (Clemence/King/Chambers), they could have tried concentrating (Stearman).
Spot on - the club was severely ripped off this summer. I would include in that the excellent business that Birmingham City did with us - we were certainly screwed there.
However, I think it would be a mistake to assume that we are going to be able to make any quality signings in January. Who is going to be keen to sign up for yet another relegation battle.
We have to rely on what we have and hope that Holloway is not the man to break the trend of the last few years - and be the one who could not beat the trap door. This is in no way whatsoever to criticise Holloway. He has simply taken on a squad that is totally unbalanced and without even the quality to compete for middle table status.
