Billy is VERY English, just like Frank. It's like when people used to say Donovan was an English Bob Dylan and I used to say that Robyn Hitchcock was an English Donovan. A little joke of mine that no-one ever really gets or understands.

Don't worry Alex.

Some people outside the UK, seem to think that the UK = England. :icon_roll

Shop Assistants Jeff? If you like thier more lively Safety Net type stuff, try listening to 'The Brilliant Colors.' They're a 2010 young American all girl band that somehow manage to sound just like a Subway Records band from 1986.
I found them by mistake when looking for The Brilliant Corners. I'm glad I did.

Elliott Smith - Grand Mal: B-Sides, Unreleased Songs and Rarities.

Some absolute classics on here and this was only his b-material...

onerepublic, train, and holiday road you slags.

What are first and second?

I'd guess at Swede's fox being along the lines of;

1. How soon is now?
2. The boy with a thorn in his side.

Close but mine would be:

1. Bigmouth strikes again
2. There is a light that never goes out

Then probably How soon is now? at fourth place.

Okay, so what do you think is the best non-Smiths/Morrissey song ever written?

Wow, tough question - to be honest, I have no idea. I enjoy a variety of very different music, although I listen mainly to britpop. But the best song ever written, well I'll have to think about that.

What about you?

Paranoid Android by Radiohead or the greatest song ever?

Obviously not as good as most Moz/Smiths songs but hey-ho.
