Listening to The Czars in the car today and I have to say that they are NOT a band you want to listen to in a car! I'll give them another chance, probably one evening with a dram and the lights out so I can concentrate on the lyrics and tunes and that glorious voice!

Blaarev - I'll give you a frank review once I have listened under the right conditions.

Definitely not one for the car that's for sure :icon_bigg
Pale Green Ghosts doesn't work well in the car either unless I play it REALLY LOUD!

Andy Burrows - Pet Air
Lou Christie - Lightnin' Strikes
Catatonia - Johnny Come Lately

I thought you were having a purge?

Gilbert O'Sullivan. One of my dad's favourite singers. He's also a big fan of BJ Thomas and Peter Cetera. Back to drawing board, spion.

This may explain why the youngsters on this forum take the piss out of me. I'm a child of the (early!) sixties so am bound to have slightly elderly tastes more suited to peoples dads :icon_bigg

Not finished purging yet!

You're the same age as me, that is no excuse for your godawful playlists.

;)

Now listen to some Beethoven symphonies. All the way through, not excerpts. His 6th and 9th are my favourites.

Crikey. First Hector and now Webbo. You are both attempting to compromise my musical preferences by introducing the classical element.

Split Enz - My Mistake
Lou Rawls - You'll Never Find Another Love Like Mine
Kate Bush - The Man With the Child in His Eyes
James - Sometimes
Elvis Presley - It's Impossible
Neil Young & Crazy Horse - Like a Hurricane
Belouis Some - Imagination
Ennio Morricone - Cockey's Theme
Amy Macdonald - Dancing In The Dark
The Move - Tonight

Take no notice of him though, the 7th is easily the best. :icon_wink

I will give all of these a listen over the weekend and give my considered opinion afterwards.

I don't want to fall into the same trap as last time though. Can I take it that Sir Simon Rattle is again not the preferred conductor to truly appreciate Beethoven?
