I can't get over how good a band Buzzcocks are. Great great pop band with brilliant songs/tunes. The wife moans about Pete Shelley's voice but that's part of the sound. Fine musicians they be.
Seeing them at my local venue on 19th September, can't wait. Last saw them in 1979. Yes, I am old.

I saw them about 10yrs ago with only Shelly & Diggle from the old days but very very good.

Currently doing 'Guitar Wolf' - Live (in 1997) outside a shop in Memphis (40 min show on YerTube)

It is a complete symbolic mess. An untidy scruffy 'gig'.

It is utterly WONDERFUL. Rock n Roll at it's very very best.

The best gig ever?

Ok, moving on. No doubt that people will not really appreciate the guile and skill of Guitar Wolf. I'm still doing foreign (not English/USA) bands with 'Les Thugs'.

Decent rock band. Saw them once years ago and tried - very unsuccessfully - to speak to one of them. Anyhow.

Listening to:

Les Thugs - Waiting
Les Thugs - Moon over Marin
Les Thugs - Assez

Merci.

R.E.M. - Fretless
Will Young - Your Game
Johnny Cash - Last Night I Had The Strangest Dream
Pink Floyd - Comfortably Numb
Swedish House Mafia & John Martin - Don't You Worry Child
Franz Ferdinand - Outsiders
Bruce Springsteen - You'll Be Comin' Down
Inspiral Carpets - Paranoid Sort Yer Head Out Mix
Marina & The Diamonds - Weeds
Cast of Phantom of the Opera - The Music Of The Night

Being one of only three people, it seems, in the UK that watches US drama series 'Person Of Interest', I decided to to some songs with a slightly odd link to it to annoy my family.

Strokes - New York City Cops
Medicine Head - Coast to Coast and Shore to Shore
Billy Joel - Root Beer Rag
REM - Voice of Harold
Jimmy Dean - Big Bad John

.

Shakira - Hips don't lie

Yes it sucks, Cate. But it won't stick, and I won't play it again.

Pussycat - Mississippi
Electric Light Orchestra - Starlight
Bruce Springsteen - The Way
James Bay - Get Out While You Can
Gregorian - Lucky Man
Eric Carmen - All By Myself
Bee Gees - Run to Me
The Czars - Angel Eyes
Coldplay - Us Against the World
Sky - Ride of the Valkyries

Right, sorry for this. The other night I played the first albums by Eddie And The Hot Rods (great if you like your pub-rock) but today....

The first 'Faust' Lp from 1971 (and some Can, the classic 'Future Days' Lp). Krautrock from before krautrock was invented.

Play that to your kids and see what they do. Go on, I dare you.

How modern do you go?
Freiwillige Selbstkontrolle? Leather Nun? These might not be real Krautrock bands tho.

Any suggestions jb?
