I understand your point - but desparate times need....etc...

I remember people threatening to send back their season tickets when we signed David Speedie but no-one complained when he got us to Wembley!!! :056:
are you saying you want smith?

I think the club should pool all their resources together by whatever means
beg, borrow, steal if they have too. Send a Rep down to Luton and see
if Mike Newell wants the job! Keep rubbing my Genie lamp hard but it ain't working.
no fooking chance in hell(sorry)

We don't need an expereinced manager at this stage of the season. We need some one who will raise the spirits of every one at the club and make the fans want to come and watch city. We could see 30000 plus gates for the rest of the season if Taggs and Elliott became the joint managers!
At least they have got the respect and backing from the fans from the word go!

I think this a reality, un less O'neil fancys getting us out of the shit and becoming an even bigger legend than he already is - well I can dream..........

No not at all - but we do need to consider all options.

What I would like is for us to continue with our principle of employing young and upcoming managers but as our position at the moment is so precarious we need an old head to oversee things in order to make sure the unthinkable doesn't happen.

I suggested the two names as a first thought on that principle... :)

Does Gibson really think he's got a chance of getting the job?

who does he want as assistant - Neville Foulger?

Quick send an email to TD. I think you have landed on the dream managerial partnership.

or bill anderson 1st team coach, well you started it.
but gibbo was dead straight he wants it big time, with his energy and passion i would get him in around the boys as a morale booster at training it wont hurt.

I think my choices at the moment would be:

1-Walford and Robertson
2-Walshie and ??Cottee or Elliot
3-Rob Kelly

sorry i disagree strongly:102:

I am currently thinking Bassett is the best option.

He was pretty scathing of Levein on Sky though. Sounded like he thought he was a complete ****!
