Generally if you are not wearing colours they will assume you are a Leicester fan and attempt to put you in the escort. Hasn't happened to me for aeons because a) me and my fellow travellers tend to hang back and b) we are of a certain age now. It tends to help that normally, as we travel from London, we are not on a direct train from Leicester, but obviously that would not apply on Saturday.

Righto...I just guessed that a bit of guile could go a long way in the escort/train travel.

But the advantages increase, I can assure you. I took Mrs G to see Fulham play at Roma the other week as an anniversary pressie. The Carabinieri were frisking everyone and herding them onto the buses. When it came to us one of them made everyone stand aside for the lady icon_lol then asked me "Excuse me sir, but I have to ask you if you have any bottles or knives with you", then ushered me on board. Same at the ground - we were waved politely past the security cordon with an aopology for any inconvenience.
