How does anyone know his real age? There's no facts behind his age being incorrect... just the fact he's Nigerian, and birth certificates aren't that accurate. Doesn't mean it's way off though.

Why lie about your age though? I don't understand, surely the UK government would check with the Nigerian Government before granting them an NI card anyway?

They used to lie so they could enter and win the under 17's national tournaments etc.. which is why many years back Pele himself said that Nigeria will go onto win the world cup soon. This was supposed to be based on what he had seen from their "under 17's" who where apparently all in their early 20's

There is a long history of players lying about their age in Nigeria, and it's easy for them to get false documents showing the wrong date of birth.

But if Yak has lied, how on Earth does Chambo know that he is 34? He could equally be 29, or 30?
