I hope so Fitz!! Kills me to say this, but Davies has done an excellent job there. Some terrific signings

True, but as said before, Forest spent over £10mil this summer and we simply cannot afford the resources they have to sign so many exciting, attacking players.

We are exciting in terms of what we are achieving on our budget.
How much have Forest spent? Who was that on? What is our budget? Has Mandy restricted how much of his pension we can have??!!

The reports were of possibly being up to and maybe even over £10mil. A lot of their signings were undisclosed so it's hard to know the exact figure, so it could be less than that and some Forest fans were just bragging, but it's certainly a damn site more than ours anyway.

We're 5th in the league, with a game in hand on most teams around us... I'm not exactly that worried about us only getting a point today.

We're doing better than most of us would've expected... and alright perhaps we're not playing brilliantly... but we are getting results most of the time which is what matters.

We do need a few players in probably to hold onto/improve our position... but I'm sure NP realises that!

I think it was only £4m. But that is still about double what we spent I suppose

David McGoldrick Southampton £ 1000000 29-06-2009
Paul Anderson Liverpool £ 250000 30-06-2009
Dele Adebola Bristol C Free 01-07-2009
Lee Camp QPR £ 100000 03-07-2009
Chris Gunter Tottenham £ 1750000 17-07-2009
Paul McKenna Preston £ 750000 20-07-2009
Dexter Blackstock QPR Undisclosed 22-07-2009
Joel Lynch Brighton £ 200000 22-07-2009

Just over £4 million, plus what they paid for Blackstock.

According to their wikipedia page and their rough figures for their undisclosed fees, it's at the very least £5million, possibly a lot more. A "seven figure sum", and "plus additional fees" are kinda vague.

Probably not as much as I was led to believe, but we still cannot compete with that kind of spending power.

Blackstock was reported as a "seven figure sum" so that's at the very least an extra million, possibly a lot more. Camp was said to have additional payments, this could be anything.

Point being they have spent much more than us. But is our money coming straight from Mandy's pocket? If so, is that another £1m for this window? Who knows!!

truly dreadful performance, obviously the early goal didnt help but we had no rhythm throughout the game it was just long ball. granted wellens and king didnt show for the ball much and give the defence an outlet but the distribution from the back four (apart from morrison) was truly, truly awful. i swear at least 50% of the time neilson didnt look up when recieving a pass, he just got it out of his feet and belted it down the line for fryatt to chase. a distinct lack of ideas and creativity today...

Where we are in the league at this stage is of little relevance. It's where we are in April that will be of more importance. many more performances like today's should be enough to ensure that we are nowhere near a playoff place.

Very poor performance today, fortunately it was against a side where we can get away with it. All the back 4 except Morrisson were piss poor. Fryatt got no service. Dont really know why Dyer came off, thought he was having a good game.

NP doesnt put wellens and king on the wing so why oakley, he shouldnt be there i would like to see king and oakley in mid next game and put dyer/nguesson/adams on the wings
Cant hurt for one game, might get wellens back to his best if he is left on the bench, dont get me wrong i like wellens but he wasnt his normal self today, but saying that not a good game altogether

Still 5th though and 3 wins and a draw aint bad
