I completely agree, the power has gone to this coppers head. I mean this could have been anyone for gods sake. It could have been a pregnant woman or an 70 year old women and this man would have brutally attacked them.

This guy should be suspended without pay until it is resolved and hopefully he will either lose his job or he will have a black mark against his name meaning it will ruin the rest of his career.

What's wrong?

As you pointed out it could have been anyone this happened to and as you said there should be an investigation.

Obviously with an investigation you are looking for an explanation as to why this happened and if there isnt a reasonable explanation for it (which i doubt there will be) then the copper should face the consequences.

He was in the way, he was being an arse and got pushed over. If he had listened to the OB in the first place it wouldn't have happened.

We employ the OB to up hold laws and protect people, property and society. If they push someone over to do it then so be it. If they shoot a suspect bomber, so be it.

If one quarter of the effort various sections of the media spend trying to nailing the OB was directed to the perpetrators of crime this country would be a much better place

No, he assaulted someone who was walking away from him, and unfortunatly the guy died, whether it was a direct result of that action or not. would you be relieved of this if the same thing happened to you? Im sure the first thing that would pop into your mind would be' thank goodness I wasn't in Thailand'

Would you prefer to live in a country where a policeman is not investigated when a member of the public is assaulted by him dies? in other words a lawless society with no real rules where a member of the forces can do whatever they want regardless of what happens?[/QUOTE]

in other words a lawless society with no real rules where a member of the anarchists can do whatever they want regardless of what happens?[/

BUT for the actions of the PROTESTORS, this man WOULD have still be alive...

He was clearly a thug, after all, he had a Millwall shirt on !!

What, you mean the protesters assaulted him?

You'd have ran into a crowd of protesters that you had nothing to do with??? :102:

No I'd run through them. I've seen trouble kick off at the football right in front of me and I'm not ashamed to admit that I turned and ran through a crowd of people. It was easy.

but look at him singth, does he look like a vicious thug to you ? are they the actions of a violent nutcase, could the same officer not have lead him away out of the trouble ?:102:

To me he doesn't H, no. But then I haven't spent all day being pelted by missiles from all angles.

Andrew Strauss must be dying to throw some ****er to the floor after a good old test match.

I betcha willlow put a bet on the opposite outcome of all of this

The bloke not to die? :102:

Did you really think trying to shoe horn this joke into the conversation would be funny?

I will have a go, its a good job MK didnt arrange a tipsters league on how this will turn out because he would mess it up...No, that one doesnt work either.

according to an eye witness he was seen staggering about and smelt of booze so maybe the police thought he was going to cause some bother hence their reaction :102:

The police still have laws and procedures to follow, and are not allowed to go around pushing people. The police can be just as guilty of an assault as any one of us.

The video doesn't tell us if the guy was spoken to before he was pushed or not, equally as much as it doesn't tell us that he was told to keep out of the area. Even if he was spoken to beforehand, it doesn't justify shoving a man over. Why not go and have a word before getting heavy-handed?

In which case his heart attack wasn't down to the officer pushing him.
Being shoved over may have exacerbated the problem. In any case, a pre-existing condition doesn't make any difference; you take your witness as you find them.

There are no missiles being throw in the clip where he was assaulted. In fact it all looks rather quiet there in all honesty.
