No - he was perfecting the art of editing copy-and-paste snippets. I now wished I'd joined him.

I recall Konchesky getting booked against Palace, the ref let play go on then went back and booked him at the next break in play.

You're right; it was right at the end of the game. Watching on a stream I thought that was what had happened but as it was not initially reported, I didn't include it. The BBC have now put it into their 'Live Text' (and also altered some of the captions on the pics of the so-called 'strangling' incident) though SkySports have still not included it.

Thanks for pointing it out.

I haven't had a look at this for almost a month but with the most important run-in for years now well underway, it's going to be important that we keep a settled side in the coming weeks.

There have been just three yellow cards shown to City players in the three intervening games; one at Tottenham, none during the visit of West Ham and a couple at the Hawthorns yesterday. In the same games our opponents have been cautioned no fewer than seven times.

Happily the two-game-ban for 10 bookings period is now over (concludes on the second Sunday in April), so it's now only red cards that will bring about suspension.

No cards shown to City players in either of the last two games; that's Swansea at home and yesterday's game at Burnley. With our opponents seeing two and three yellow cards respectively, we are now more sinned against than sinning:

We are actually the best in the division for our discipline record.

Its a shame that the Premier League have a silly system (taking into account other criteria) for the fair play league which has us at 9th (last table end of March). As its stands a English team will be rewarded with an Europe League spot.

Very true, though it is a UEFA sytem rather than a Premier League one.

Yellow/red cards, positive play, respect to the opponent, respect to the referee, behaviour of team officials, behaviour of fans. Somebody has too much time on their hands if they can work that lot out.

It's all bollocks wither way though isn't it - the better team should qualify.
