Re: Ex-players (the thread nobody's been waiting for)

Peter Taylor finally worked out how to beat Wycombe

Kevin Ellison - unfortunately cuptied all those years ago. The rest is history.:056:

Those are the facts - there's no altering 'em.

N'Guss is reaching for the stars - well, he's trying to hit them with his strikes on goal anyway.

I was listening to their match on radio Cumbria yesterday and the commentators couldn't believe how bad he was. One attempt to control the ball went about 20 yards and out for a goal kick. They lolled.

Re: Ex-players (the thread nobody's been waiting for)

Watched the Football League show.
N'Guessan's name followed by "should've done better". Heard that somewhere before.
I hoped he would make it with City, but alas, looks like he can't make the step up.

Kee scored for Torquay.

Also, the amount of times the phrases "on loan from" or "xyz loanee" used during the show was nothing short of amazing.

Re: Ex-players (the thread nobody's been waiting for)

That's going a bit far, but it'd take a churlish city fan to deny that he's doing pretty well in the Premiership this time around.

I'm with DJ on this one. There's something splendidly boys comic English (not necessarily a compliment) about a non-league player who makes it all the way to the national team - wish he'd mentioned our own Guppster though.

Better than Bothroyd, that's for sure.

Gareth McAuley scored for Ipswich last night.
